I’ve often wondered about this and I’ve even tried to compare blogs to real word businesses in order to find an answer. Let’s consider a couple of real world businesses to see where some differences may lie. The first one that comes to mind, probably because I’ve been associated with this type of business for most of my life, is the supermarket or corner deli. As long as their premises are neat, tidy and welcoming and their staffs attitude is professional and friendly they’re likely to convert almost every person that comes into their store into sales. The main reason for this is people who come into this type of store are looking for something that they need then and there.

Now lets look at a store that sells TV’s, Hi-Fi systems and the like. They may find it a little harder to convert because not everyone that walks into their store is ready to buy a product then and there. Many are window shopping or even looking for the right product at the right price. However, it is possible to convert these casual shoppers as long as you have the properly trained staff. Staff that are able to approach the prospects without scaring them off. Who are able to get out of the prospects what it is they are looking for and then convince them that they are not only able to offer the best deal but the best after sales service as well. Done correctly, even if the prospect leaves the store many will come back, especially if they do not receive the same service elsewhere, to complete the sale. I know this to be a fact because it’s happened many times while I was working in such a store.

Knowing Who Your Customers Are

In the above examples, as in other such businesses in the real world, they have the advantage in that people walking into their stores know what they’re selling and more importantly are probably wanting to buy something from them, if not now at a later date. This is generally not the case for our blog visitors, especially if the blogger has been using the wrong keywords to attract prospective customers.

Are You Using The Wrong Keywords?

This is something every good blogger must ask themselves. How often have you left in disgust because you landed on a site that had absolutely nothing to do with what you were searching for. While some may blame Google for it the problem usually lies with

Keywords are Important!

the site owner for using the wrong keywords. Their mistake was all they were interested in was traffic rather than getting a lower amount of targeted traffic which has more chance of converting. While traffic may be good for lowering your Alexa ranking its pretty useless unless the people who land on your site are actually looking for the products you have on offer. Traffic that isn’t targeted can be likened to customers who rush into a store just to get out of the rain. They may look around while there but they’re not likely to buy anything and once the rain stops they will continue their journey to the store which has what they’re looking for and are therefore more likely to make a sale.

I have to admit that before Market Samurai I never used to worry about keywords because it was all to hard and I know now what a great mistake that was. It’s better to do some keyword research than to not worry about it at all because otherwise you’re not getting the right traffic reducing any chance at converting traffic into sales.

Knowing Your Audience

An important question to ask yourself is who exactly is reading your blog. This is

Preaching to the wrong audience is like talking to the wind. It’s a waste of breath!

because if you know who your readers are then you have more of a chance at selecting the right products to sell to them. The real reason many bloggers are failing when it comes to marketing is because they’re pushing the wrong products to the wrong people.

Say for example you know that your audience consist mainly of teenagers then you would want to provide products that would interest them. This could be anything from ways of treating acne to the latest iPhone. Find the right products and then you’re finally on a winner.

Take this blog for example, it’s not a niche blog and yet it still provides me an income. Most of my readers are bloggers and therefore most of my money comes from selling blogging related products. My biggest seller to date has been the FlexSqueeze theme and other products include the plugins like CommentLuv Premium and even Andy’s latest IM Graphics plugin. The reason for my success with these two plugins is getting in early and being able to offer them at a discounted price. I’m sure that those who purchased the plugins from me in the early days also offered it to their readers thereby recouping their costs and perhaps even making a profit.

Just so you know those images you see in this post are all thanks to Andy’s latest updates to his IM Graphics plugin and if you act quickly you may still get it at the introductory price. My last post not only explains how it works it also shows you.

So, if you can find out who your audience is you will have a better idea at what products you can market to them Having a niche blog makes the job a lot easier but niche blogs can be boring resulting in poor posts and therefore poor conversions.

The question for many of us is how do you work out who your audience is? The obvious answer is by interacting with your commentators. I’m afraid that alone may not be enough and so I ask you, my loyal and knowledgable readers, how to we learn what category or people are reading our blogs so we can successfully market to them?

It’s been well over a month since I wrote the post about pruning my list to get rid of all the deadwood. By deadwood I’m referring to those subscribers who have never bothered, or hardly ever, to read my emails. Normally I’d just let them go to build up my list numbers except that I’m rewarding my list members by placing a link to their site from my List page and I figured it just wasn’t fair to reward them if they weren’t holding up their end.

That post included a youtube video showing my readers how MailChimps star system highlighted the quality of your subscribers. This post has a video which shows how to use that star system to separate the good subscribers from the bad ones.

Pruning Your List With MailChimp

I have to admit I was surprised how simple the procedure was and I am really glad that I did it. I have to admit there were a few bloggers who were regulars and I struggled with the decision as to whether or not I should delete them with the general culling and in the end I decided it was the only fair thing to do.

The Positives Of Pruning Your List

I know that there were a few comments in that first post where people thought I was crazy for pruning my list as they felt that the deadwood may actually come to life one day. Well, as far as I’m concerned deadwood is deadwood and you’re better off clearing them out of the way so you can concentrate on growing your live limbs.

There are also certain positives for pruning your list.

If you have a large list and are paying for the amount of emails you’re sending out pruning your list will reduce those costs.

Having a more dedicated list will also improve your open and click through rate which will give you a nice warm fuzzy feeling when you check your campaign reports

In my situation I know I am only rewarding those subscribers who are actually interested in what I have to say which is as it should be.

I’ve also made sure that any new subscribers know what to expect when subscribing to my list, that I only want dedicated members, ones who actually read my emails occasionally and that I will be pruning my list on a regular basis.

What’s that, how many did I cull in the pruning process? Reckon you’ll have to watch the video to see that.

As bloggers we all have one thing in common, we want people to come and read our posts. More than that we want them to enjoy it so much that they will leave a comment. Ah, who am I kidding? Reading and commenting is no where near enough. We also want them to promote the post using whatever social media their affiliated to and if we’re selling something we would also love for them to buy whatever we’re selling. At the very least we would love for Google to display the right ads, ones that would pique our visitors interest enough to click on one of them, Am I right?

Of course I’m right

What Makes For A Good Blog Post

This is a very important subject because it could mean the difference between a busy blog or one with no visitors. Sort of like sitting on a park bench all by yourself watching everybody rushing by on their way to the next blog.

Your Audience: Before writing a post you need to work out who your general audience is and write accordingly. A potentially good post can turn bad if you wander off the topic and then fail to grab their attention again

Use The Right Keywords: By this I mean the keywords you choose have to be related to the subject you are writing about. There’s no point in using keywords such as money, sex, boobs or porn stars if your post is about a WordPress theme you’re trying to promote. Do that and the only thing that’ll happen is you’ll increase your bounce rate. While keywords play an important part in your post being noticed by the search engines its also possible that the Adsense ads displayed on your blog are related to those same keywords

Avoid Bad Grammar:This can be a real killer. You may have gotten people to your blog by using the right keywords and you’ve piqued their interest by having a captivating title but that’s all going to wasted if your post is full of bad grammar. Honestly taking the time to check your spelling, punctuation and utilising paragraphs and such is well worth the effort.

Avoid Confrontation: No matter what you do sooner or later you’re going to write a post where people will disagree with you. The worst thing you can do is to take those people on. Remain calm even if that means stepping away and having a cup of coffee or something. Once you’ve calmed down you can reply to them in a professional manner.I’ve seen many a good post where the bloggers credibility has been shot to hell all because the blogger lost it when someone criticised something he said or the product he was promoting.

Be Professional: The way you behave on your blog affects the way people relate to you so no matter what your post is about you should always keep in mind how that post will affect the way people see you. By this I mean rather than attacking a person via a post because you disagree with something they’ve said or done just leave them out of it and write about the subject in general, why you disagree with it and how you would have handled it.

Separate Business From Personal:The one thing I like about my blog is that it allows me to write about almost anything. If you have a business blog then your posts should relate to your business. You certainly don’t want to write about your personal opinions on your business blog because doing so can piss off some potential customers. If you have a lot of personal opinions then the best thing to do is to start a personal blog and rant away.

Interact With Your Commentator: I’m sure that a lot of people notice that many of the pro bloggers of this world rarely take the time to interact in the comment section giving them the impression that this is the norm. Honestly, if you’re just starting out the best thing you can do is show your readers / potential customers you care by interacting with them in the comment section.

Be Completely Honest: Never promote a product unless you know it’s all that it says it is. Forget about the commission because if you sell something that you’re not happy with it’s going to bite you in the arse. You’ll kill whatever credibility you’ve built up over the years and those poor people who got sucked in by your post will tell all their friends what an arse you are.

Be A Person, Not A Salesman: People don’t like being sold to but they do like to know the positives and negatives of a product. That’s why you’re more likely to get sales when you’re writing about a product you use and obviously love than one where the only thing you’re interested in is the commission fee.

Of course there are a lot of other factors like the theme you use, having too many ads (guilty ), your posting frequency and even the font you’re using. Face it, if your font makes it hard for others to read they’re not likely to come back for seconds now are they? Getting it right is all the difference between that empty park bench and a foyer full of people talking about that awesome blog they’ve just left.

Naturally these are my personal opinions and alone they don’t hold much weight. What I want is your opinion. Do you agree with what I’ve said or not? If you do which factors to you believe to be important and if not why not. You may even want to add your own views as to what differentiates a good blog from a bad one.

It looks like Andy Bailey has been at it again. For those of you who are new to blogging Andy Bailey is the wonder behind the Commentluv plugin, a plugin that is so popular hundreds of thousands of bloggers use it. Something else you may not know is that Andy recently released the CommentLuv Premium version. Being a premium version Andy has filled it with heaps of extras to make it worth the price.

I’m not going to go through all of the plugin’s attributes because I’ve already listed them in my post CommentLuv Premium Adding To Revenue Stream. What’s that, how can it add to your revenue stream? Quite simple really as it is a lot easier to sell something to your reader if they see that you’re actually using the product yourself.

CommentLuv Now Improving Your Comments

The thing with Andy is that he is never satisfied with the end product and he is always tinkering with it to make it better. When developing the premium version of the plugin he wanted to ensure that it rewarded the blogger as well as the commentator. With his latest update Andy’s revamped the GASP portion of the plugin.

For those of you who don’t know GASP helps reduce your comment spam as it virtually kills off all robot spam. With this latest update it

now also helps to reduce the human spam. Here is the plugin’s extra feature;

You had some more options added to GASP to allow more advanced heuristics. You can now specify the minimum amount of words

required in a comment and the minimum time a user has to be on the page before leaving a comment. You can also set GASP to warn the user why their comment is not being accepted. You will also have to enter your username and password again to activate this new version (for security reasons). You can also show icons next to the last blog post link if the user clicked any of the social enticement buttons. See the changelog to see details (on the main page sidebar) (this message will be expire after 60 seconds)

Phew, lucky I managed to copy all that before it self destructed

I know there are a lot of bloggers out there who do not use plugin because they’re afraid that it will attract too many spam comments to their blog as people try to get that extra link back to their sites. Well, that may be true for the original plugin, it’s definitely not true for the premium version, especially not now.

Think about it! What is the most common spam comment you get? It’s the nice post or some other generic comment that is quick and easy to leave and adds nothing of value to your post. I can now set the plugin so that they now have to sit and think about what they’re writing if they want their comment to be accepted.

The other common mistake that spammers make is not reading your post. They now have to spend a predetermined time on the post before their comment is accepted. Heck, if they have to do that they may as well read the post

Of course there will be many who won’t want to take that extra time or put in the extra effort to leave a good comment and so they will just move on to the next blog, hopefully not a CommentLuv Premium blog , but so what? You don’t want those sorts of comments and by moving on they’re just saving you the time of having to delete it or worse still, stressing over whether or not you should delete it.

So, there you have it, CommentLuv Premium can now improve the type of comments you get.

The year is almost up and I feel it’s time for a little reflection on all that has transpired over the last 365 days. I started the year with my post Are Your Goals For 2011 Achievable?, the first of 115 posts for the year. That particular post outlined why I believed so many people were failing in their objectives to making an online income and what they should do to maximize their online income potential.

The first money making post for the year goes to How To Make Money Off A Popular Post where I introduced you guys to MediaPass, a site that allows you to turn those popular posts into virtual income generating articles. I am happy to report that there are some who have signed up under me who are doing very well through it adding even more to my source of passive income and for that I must thank you and say keep up the good work

WordPress Plugins Were Popular In 2011

I don’t think anyone would argue that one of the reasons WordPress is a popular blogging platform is because of all the hard work those remarkable guys put into developing plugins that not only make our life as bloggers easier but also help us to add to out blogging income.

10 Essential WordPress Plugins For The Smart Blogger list 10 pluginsthat I feel are essential to blogging and yes some of those do help in the money making department.

Put A Firewall Up To Protect Your Blog introduced you guys to another essential plugin, one that secures your blog. That post also outlines why I felt I had to have that plugin.

Five Best WordPress Plugins For Affiliate Marketers lists what I believe to be 5 essential plugins for anyone wanting to be successful in affiliate marketing.

Making Money With Amazon Is It Possible introduced my readers to a free plugin that would increase their Amazon revenue.

A Review Of WP Zon Builder came about because I wanted to see how much a paid plugin differed from the free version. This post shows you why I chose WP Zon Builder

How To Really Improve Your Bounce Rates introduces you to a plugin that apart from improving your bounce rate it also has the potential to earn you some money. I’ll be doing an update on this baby next year

OK, there were other plugins mentioned throughout the year, including several posts on CommentLuv Premium but I reckon those were the main ones. I also expect there to be more next year as I come across other interesting plugins. The problem I will come across then will be which plugins to let go.

How I Made Money In 2011

As my regulars know, I’m the type of blogger that loves to share with his readers my experiences, both good and bad, with online money making ventures. There have been several throughout the year of which these are just a few.

What Affiliates To Promote To Blog For Money gives you those affiliates that I promote successfully on this as well as some of my other blogs.

Put Money In Your Pocket And Generate Traffic For Your Blog introduced you all to Zaparena but unfortunately that particular site, as outlined in this post, is no more.

Be Prepared To Spend Money To Make Money pretty well outlines how it wasn’t until I started investing in my online business that I actually started making money from the products I was promoting.

Naturally there was a lot of other posts, 114 to be exact, that I could link to but that would be a little over the top. Suffice it to say that they covered everything from jokes, poems, inspirational posts to ways of making money online. I’m sure that my topics are so varied that I have managed to secure a dedicated following as well as why my list membership continues to grow.

I’ve also produced more YouTube videos and I’m planning to utilise YouTube as another avenue for making money in 2012. Speaking of YouTube I would really appreciate if you could take the time to give this particular video a little plug, naturally only if you think it is worth it.

All in all I am more than happy with the way things have gone this year, especially with my latest venture, Buy Online Lottery Tickets, and I look forward to 2012 as being a year that holds many possibilities. Of course things will be really different if I win one of the lotteries outlined in this post. I thought what better way to start off the new year than by winning some money which is why I purchased a ticket from a Brazilian, Spanish and Aussie lottery. The size of the jackpot didn’t interest me as much as the fact that they will all be drawn on December 31st.

As this will be the last post for the year I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and that all your wishes and plans for 2012 come to fruition.

Also, if you’re going to leave a comment I hope it has some content and is more than just good post or Happy New Year as these will just be deleted.

First off I want to give credit where credit is due and in this case it goes to a post my mate Mitch wrote called Too Many Tags And Categories? That particular post, one that I recommend you read, refers to a blog Mitch had read where the blogger claims to have reduced his bounce rate to 2% The thing about that bloggers post that caught Mitch’s attention was when the blogger mentioned that smaller tags and tag clouds were beneficial because it allowed the reader to focus on what the blog is really about. I’m assuming that having a huge amount of tags would confuse the reader causing him to leave without searching any further.

Will Tags Decrease Your Bounce Rate?

The question is whether or not having a tag cloud decreases your bounce rate? Personally I feel that they are next to useless and the space would be better used for something else. I know that I have one on my Buy Lottery Tickets Online site but that’s only because I like the way it behaves more than anything else.

The only way to get a true result to that question is to run this poll. As you well know the more people that take part in any given poll the more accurate the result and so I urge you to get the word out.

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

How To Improve Your Bounce Rate

So, how do you improve your bounce rate? First let’s say that the way the bounce rate of any given site is calculated is related to the amount of time someone spends on your blog and whether or not they choose to explore it by reading some of your other posts.

Select Your Keywords Carefully: Sure I said that tag clouds were next to useless but let’s not forget that the real reason for choosing your <del>tags</del> keywords carefully is for their SEO benefit. Keywords are one of the best ways of letting the search engine know what you’re writing about. Therefore you want to make sure that you select keywords that relate exactly to what you’re writing about otherwise people will be bouncing like crazy.

Great Content:This is a no brainer and I’m going to include good grammar, introduction and heading in this point. Get all them right and people will take the time to read your post increasing the time on your blog and decreasing your bounce rate. Who knows, they may even want to look around your blog to see what other gems you have to offer.

Interlinking Great For SEO:You may have read before how linking between your posts is great for SEO, well that’s not all as it’s also great for reducing your bounce rate, especially if you’re linking to related content. Sure there are plugins that will do this for you but they normally appear at the end of the post but it’s so much better to do it from within the post itself as it’s more likely to grab their attention.

Related Posts Plugin:Sometimes you may find it a bit difficult to link from within a post and that is when a related post plugin will help. I usually use Microkid’s Related Posts plugin as it allows me to search for the right posts to link to. I am however trialling nrelate Related Plugin as it has some unique qualities which I will touch on later in this post.

Open Links In Another Page:I’ve read some posts that actually recommend the opposite but that never made sense to me. They reckon if you do that it records another visit when they return to your blog. The question is, will they return to your blog? That’s an awful big chance you’re taking if you go that route. It’s so much better to open all links in another page.

Entice Your Readers To Comment:This is important for many reasons. The most important reason is it makes your posts more interactive but just as important is that if they’re going to take the time to comment they will inadvertently stay on your blog longer improving your bounce rate. You could also go the extra mile by using a plugin that allows them to edit comments because there are a lot of people who take pride in their comments and will take the time and appreciate the opportunity to fix any mistakes.

Make Good Use Of YouTube:If you can find a video that adds to your content then I recommend you include it in a post. If you can’t find one then that’s good too because it gives you the opportunity to make your own video, one that others may find useful enough to include in their posts. Whenever I include a video I will use the ‘more’ tag so that it’s not displayed on the front page so as to not slow down the page load speed.

nrelate Related Plugin

I only learned of this plugin yesterday when I was contacted by someone affiliated with it. I have to admit that I wasn’t all that interested because I already have a related post plugin, but I thought I would do the right thing and give it a try. I must say I am impressed, so much so that I’m going to keep them both. Here’s a few reasons why I like it.

Upon installing the plugin will take a couple of hours before appearing as it indexes your blog so that it has more of an idea when searching for related posts.

It uses thumbnails to link to your related posts. Everyone knows that people are more likely to click on an interesting image than just a boring old link so to me this is a big plus. It pulls the image from the post and if the post does not have an image it will use a default one that you can upload. I’m thinking of making a Sire recommends this post image using cleavage to get their intention

Once installed it finds related posts for all your posts unlike Microkids which only works on those posts where you remembered to use it. There are so many posts where I’ve forgotten to make use of it resulting in lost potential.

Another cool feature is you can configure it to search your blogroll for related content. This is great for those who have more than one blog or have the tendency to link to certain blogs in their blogroll.

It’s very configurable including giving you the opportunity to make money by availing yourself of their advertiser network. You can see the plugin in action at the end of this and every post on this blog. The thumbnails appear after the ‘You may also like -‘, also totally configurable. The fourth thumbnail is the one belonging to the advertiser. Naturally if you don’t want to use this feature you don’t have to.

That’s it for now as this post is a lot longer than I’m used to writing. Don’t forget to take part in the poll and to leave a comment, especially if you have any other tips on improving the bounce rate of any given blog.

Life is so short. We are born, we live for a time and then, when our time is done, we die. There are those who make a name for themselves in that short time, who people remember, perhaps because of some incredible feat they performed, their contribution to mankind or even because of some atrocity they had committed. The vast majority however are only remembered by those few who’s lives they may have touched.

I belong to the latter. I know that once I have gone I will only be truly remembered by family and close friends. I came to that realisation many years ago and I am fine with that. Even though I will leave no lasting memory once I have been reduced to dust I have vowed that at the very least while I am upon this earth I will be the best that I can be. That mentality has always helped me in my business and is currently helping me in my new job.

In Blogging As In Life Always Give Your Best

From my first day on the job I gave my new bosses 110%. I always start a few minutes early and never leave before my time is due. I never take extra or longer breaks and always make sure that I do the job to the best of my ability. My efforts have not gone unnoticed either. I have been rewarded with more hours and I am also being treated with respect by my co-workers. The reasons i’m this way is twofold. The first being its the way I was brought up and the second is because as a former employer I know what it is like to have staff that slack off and so I can’t possibly do the same to my employer.

This means a lot to me because even though I may not be remembered when my time here is done, at least while I am walking amongst the living there is no-one talking behind my back telling others what a slacker I am. If anything I am setting an example for others, even though they may not see it or make the effort to follow in my footsteps.

The same goes for my blog. I try to maintain a level of professionalism and honesty. I never abuse my readers or commentators and never belittle anyone in my posts. The same goes when commenting on another’s blog. I always try to conduct myself in the manner of a good guest. Where a guest would listen to the conversation I would read the post and as a good guest would contribute to the conversation I try to contribute by leaving a good comment. I would never misbehave by abusing my host or any of his other guests.

Who knows, when I finally bite the dust perhaps people won’t remember my name but they will remember something about me. You know, something like; “Do you remember that blogger, you know what’s his name? The one that had a way with words, had a great sense of humour and used some amazing photos in his post. I think he was an Aussie or something?” If that ever happens you just tell that person that my name is Sire

I started my list in December 2010 and it took about 10 months to reach 50 subscribers. I wrote about that milestone in my post A New Milestone As My Mail List Hits 50 and that post tells of the new tactic I had started using to increase my list numbers. One that has been working so well that my numbers have since doubled.

You would think that would make me a pretty happy blogger round about now wouldn’t you? Well, I’m not and that is what this post is all about. I’m just not happy about having a list that is not performing to my expectations. Let’s face it, the whole idea of having a list is to get something from your subscribers. For most list owners it’s usually money related but all I want is that my subscribers actually open my emails to see what I’ve been up to. After all, that is why they joined isn’t it?

Having A Dedicated List Is Important

When people subscribe to a list it’s usually because the person building the list is offering a freebie or something at a discounted rate. In my situation it’s because they want their link to appear on my List Page, as that is the incentive that I am offering.

The thing with lists is they’re of little use if the subscribers are not opening your emails. Lists being what they are, a lot of subscribers do not give their prime email address when joining. Instead they will use an address that is rarely used except when they use it to subscribe to a list or something. These people have no intention of opening your mail and so are pretty useless as subscribers.

I expected to get my fair share of these subscribers but the time has come to sift through my subscribers removing all the dead wood. After all, why should they receive the same reward, a link back to their site, as all my dedicated subscribesr who actually open and read my emails?

This post will serve as a warning to all my subscribers that one month from today I will be deleting all inactive members. That is all those subscribers who for whatever reason have not been opening my emails. Unfortunately for them they won’t know what the hell is going on because they won’t be opening the email linking to this post. I will also be linking to this post from my list’s signup form so that all future subscribers know their link will be removed unless they are active members.

MailChimp’s Star System

I’ve created a YouTube video to show you how easy it will be to sift through my subscribers separating the good loyal ones from those who probably only joined so they could get a free link to their website.

It is so lucky for you guys that I’m a bloke and not a woman because if I was a woman I would be so pissed right about now. You know what its like when your special lady gets her hair done, buys a new dress or maybe some shoes and you fail to notice. First you may get the old silent treatment and then there may be the old banging of pots and pans and heaven forbid if in a moment of desperation you mention her monthly cycle Imagine the mood she would be in if a week went by and you still didn’t notice

Yep, its like I said, lucky for you guys that I’m a bloke because it’s been a week since I’ve changed the header and I’ve had heaps of comments, many of them from regulars too, and not one of you even noticed. Even if you did nobody bothered to mention it. Too bad really, because I had planned to give away $100 to the first person that noticed so at least I get to keep the cash

Designing A Header For Your Blog

Where possible I always try to design my own header because I know that doing so will make it unique and being unique helps tom make you stand out. I actually made two headers and I had to choose between the one you see now or this one.

The thing is that I’m not all that good at designing things from scratch so what Like to do is to take a photo of something and then editing it to suit my needs. The images that you see here are from the Bird Of Paradise plant that is growing in my garden. I took several shots of it and then used PhotoShop to crop it into what you see here.

I liked these images because although simple they are really very striking, it certainly is a lot different from the one I was using before. The beauty of doing it this way is that no artistic talent was necessary. The only thing you need is a camera, an interesting subject which can be absolutely anything and some software to crop it. Naturally if you know your way around PhotoShop you could really work wonders with it.

I think I may actually put a portfolio of headers together so that I could perhaps offer it for sale or even as a free gift somewhere along the line.

Some Photo Editing Tools You Can Use

There are a lot of editing tools that you can use, some of which I have included below. There are also websites like Flickr that offer online editing features that may do the trick. However you decide to do it you will get an immense sense of satisfaction every time you see your blog sporting your a header that you designed.

So, you missed the first release of CommentLuv Premium and you’re kicking yourself for it because it was such a sweet deal. To those of you who paid attention to my many posts promoting it and our now proud owners of what is a great plugin I congratulate you on your wise decision.

To the rest I am happy to report CommentLuv Premium is about to go into Launch mode very, very soon and you don’t want to miss out again! OK, it’s going to cost you that little bit more but there is still going to be massive savings for all those bloggers who have more than one blog because it’s only going to set you back $67 for the unlimited license! This will revert later to a single license meaning that you will have to pay $67 for each blog. Even if you only have one b log it’s best to get it now because you never know when you will want to start another one.

So, let’s have another look at all the reasons why you should be adding this plugin to your blogging arsenal.

What CommentLuv Premium Has To Offer

Advanced control of dofollow and 10 last posts
It is going to allow you to set rules so instead of requiring people to register to get the goodies, you can set it to give it to anyone that has made X number of comments.

Unlock advanced features on EVERY CommentLuv blog
Being premium means you don’t have to register anywhere, you get up to 15 last posts to choose from on EVERY blog that has CommentLuv. Now you all know how many people use CommentLuv so this is a really important feature.

Static Links
If you have links that you would like to use again and again or pages that you’d like to include in your returned list of posts then you can with this feature! This is basically where you get the additional 5 extra links from. You get to choose 5 post or pages of your choice and they can be the ones that promote a particular affiliate or even link to your Sales or Squeeze pages.

Integrated anti-spam
New and improved anti-spambot protection without the need for your readers to fill in a CAPTCHA or even check a checkbox! Also, trackback validation!

Stats for clicks on your links
See what links of yours are getting clicked and where

Enhanced information panel
Set your information on your own blog and your info panel updates on every single blog that has one of your links showing (including a list of other posts you have on your site)

Advanced instructions with video on the membership site
Every section of the plugin has it’s own video to show you exactly what you need to do to set it up for your site.

Now, that’s not me making it all up either. That’s right from one of Andy’s pages, except for the ones highlighted in red which I’ve added to highlight some basic points.

CommentLuv Premium’s Great SEO Benefit

I can just hear all those SEO Gurus shaking their heads in disbelief saying that there is no SEO benefit in leaving comments on blog but we all know better don’t we? I can tell you without any doubt that commenting was the main reason why my Buy Online Lottery Tickets is on page one of Google!

How many of you have been disappointed when the post you most wanted to link to via CommentLuv was no longer available because it had gone beyond the 10 posts you’re allowed to link to? Well, as a premium member that is a thing of the past and it was what initially sold me on the premium plugin.

Once a member thought I saw another really important feature one that went unnoticed until I was playing around with CommentLuv Premiums settings.

The images you see over there on the right shows you what happens when someone hovers over the heart that’s at the very end of the CommentLuv link. The top one is from a comment I left that linked to this blog and the bottom on is from one linking to my Lottery blog. Clicking on them will give you a bigger image.

What you see is that unlike the regular CommentLuv you can now have your very own sales copy promoting your blog complete with links, Notice also that those extra five links that you’ve configured, you know the ones that point to your sales pages or those posts promoting your favourite affiliates, appear at the very bottom. It would be great if those links would appear to the search engines but unfortunately that’s not the case. Still, search engines don’t buy from you, people do and this is a great way to get you or your products out there.

Whatever you do don’t wait to the last minute because there is every chance you will forget and miss out once again. Head on over to the Andy’s CommentLuv page and enter your email address so that Andy can notify you when the CommentLuv Premium is available. Andy being who he is will also be offering those who register their intent a great free report.

See exactly what CommentLuv can do for you by watching Andy’s video and don’t forget to subscribe so that you won’t miss out.
