Uses For The Super Strong Neodymium Magnet

Great Retrieval Magnet

Every year I clean the chimney over my fireplace. I do this by tying a 5kg weight to a special brush that I lower and raise down the chimney thereby cleaning it. I always worry that the rope will break. Now if it does I can lower the magnet to drag it all back up. In the video above I lifted just over 30 kg but they reckon it can lift 115kg!!

Finding And Retrieving Lost Metal Objects

One of the most frustrating things for me is dropping a screw or something and spending ages looking for it. Now all I need to do is to drag the magnet over the general area and it will have no trouble picking it up.

Picking Up Angle Grinder Brush Filings

Have you ever used one of those steel brushes on an angle grinder? If you have then you know what a pain it is to pick up all those broken steel filings that are lying around just waiting for someone to step on them. This earth magnet would solve that problem.

The Fishing Magnet

This magnet is sometimes called the fishing magnet. I thought what? Does it catch fish that’s swallowed some metal parts or something? Nope, from what I can gather you stick it on the end of a fishing line and throw it into the lake, river or sea in the hope of it catching something of worth. Not fish related at all. I know of someone who bought a magnet, nowhere as powerful as this one, to retrieve a mobile phone they dropped into a lake!!
