CleanMyMac And Setapp A Mac’s Best Friend?
Why CleanMyMac and Setapp? I did my first CleanMyMac post way back in 2021. Since then I’ve upgraded my computer and I’m still using CleanMyMac to keep it in tip top form. What I love about CleanMyMac is they’re continually doing updates, partly to keep up with the Mac updates but also because they’re constantly improving it.
Their last update required me to outlay some money because it was a major update and I was going to give it a miss because it is running fine for now and then I remembered Setapp.
What Has Setapp To Do With Clean My Mac?
In case you’re wondering what Setapp has to do with CleanMyMac, it will become obvious in a sec. You see Setapp is a subscription plan that gives you access to over 250 apps with one subscription. I did a video called Is The Setapp Subscription Any Good and it highlighted a few apps that I was using. Since posting that video I’ve added more apps to my collection including the CleanMyMac.
Yep, you read that right. I forgot that CleanMyMac came as part of the Setapp arsenal. At first I thought that perhaps it didn’t include all the features of the standalone version so I sent an email to the guys at MacPaw and they assured me that it included all the features of the Standalone CleanMyMac. How good is that?
What Is The Price Difference Of CleanMyMac And Setapp
I can hear everyone asking, but how much more is Setapp going to cost me? That’s an excellent question and we’re going to have a look at that right now.
Normally, a one time purchase costs about $184 but because I already have one I can get it for about $110. If I was to got the subscription route it was cost roughly $61 per year but again because I already have one I get a discount and it would cost me about $30 per year.
Now, let’s look at a Setapp subscription.
As you can see it’s only $9.99 a month! How good is that? Sure, it’s cheaper for me to get the standalone version but why would I when I already have Setapp! And with Setapp I never have to worry about having to outlay more money for major updates because every single update comes free with the Setapp subscription and I’m into my second year because I love having access to all those apps.
