You Scratch My Back

You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours is something that has been going on for eons, even in the blogging world. If you’re not sure what it means, basically you’re telling someone that you will gladly do them a favour if they do one for you in return. The first time I used this was when I promised people to follow them to their blog and leave a comment if they left one on my blog. Even though the group I tried to start never really took off the fact that I followed it did put this blog on the map.

I also used it to get more people to review my blog on Alexa. That worked out pretty well for me too. The reason the ‘you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’ idea works so well could be because the idea of helping someone in return for help is something that is built into our persona. Even our primate friends do it.

You Scratch My Back and….

you scratch my backAs you’ve probably guessed by now I’m looking for some favours, and you are so right. In fact I’m looking for several favours which I will list below. The reason for having several back scratching options is to give you, my readers, a list to choose from, rather than just one which you may not be interested in.

  • Write a review on Alexa! This time the review will be for my best gifts ideas blog rather than this one.
  • Like either of my latest videos on YouTube, Laughaholics #1 or Laughaholics #2. It’s really quite easy, you just follow either of the links and give it the thumbs up if you like my jokes. You will also need to leave a comment on the respective video so I can keep track of those actually completing the task. I will in return do the same for you.
  • Like my The Gifts Guru blog. Again, an easy task. You just head on over to the blog and click on the link in the sidebar, the one in the Like The Gifts Guru category, just like in the image below. Again, I will require you to leave a comment on one of the posts.like the gifts guru
  • Facebook like the Gifts Guru Page. You can do this by going to my FaceBook page and liking it, or by doing it on the blog itself. You’ll find that link below the other one.

All you need to do is to scratch my back by completing one of the actions above and then leaving me a comment telling me which one it was. Naturally your comment will also contain the favour you require of me so that I can scratch your back in return. It’s as easy as that. With any luck someone else may want to get in on then back scratching deal.  :drunk_tb:

  1. This proverb has been in our lives for a long time, We are very used to the idea. In today’s world nothing is free, favour has to be returned in one way or another. Blogging is very depended on sharing/data with each other.
