Wassup’s With The November’s Statistics
Ho, Ho, Ho….as we enter the festive month of December, it’s time to post November’s statistics. As I expected, it didn’t come anywhere near to October’s total of $193.22, but then I wasn’t at all surprised as it was unreasonable to think that Commission Junction would be able to pull out another magical sale from the magician’s hat.
Still, it wasn’t all that bad as Google was up nearly $9 which is roughly a 40% increase. Let’s have a look at the stats shall we.
- Adsense: $33.18
- Voxsant: $0.01
- Clix Galore: $0.49
- Chitika: $1.2
- Infolinks: $3.56
- Advertisers: $10
- Commission Junction: $0.0
- E-Junkie: $39.00
- Jumbo Affiliates: $4.49
- RegNow: $0.00
- Paid Posts: $7.50
- Commission Monster: $0.00
- Amazon Associates: $0.00
- CashBurners: $0.00
TOTAL : $95.87
As you can see, while there were some poor performers, or even non performers, others maintained or even improved on previous results. E-Junkie has been the most consistent performer, other than Adsense, and it can be attributed to all those people who see the sense in having a professional theme such as FlexSqueeze.
What was really surprising was that about half of my Adsense earnings was attributed to this blog. Surprising because Wassup Blog is normally a poor performer. Good to see that it’s finally starting to pull a bit of it’s weight.

It is sad to not reach the same income level. However, it could have been worst. Keep focus on the traffic and the money will follow.

Looking at your stats -and blog layout- wouldn’t it be better to concentrate just on your top income sources for the moment? Too many choices may lead to that none at all are made, just my 2 cents, SY

Not really, as each source offers something that the other one doesn’t. I believe having a selection gives my readers more choice. Where one selection may not be favorable another might just hit the spot.

Hmmm…you mentioned a few income streams I have never heard of until now. My Adsense earnings has dropped the last month or so. I have read that due to Google’s “caffeine update” that is to take effect after the new year, the SERPS have been shaken up. I suppose this is what has caused the reduction in my earning – my sites are flip-flopping all over the SERPs.

The little bit I have looked into the Caffeine update it seems to be a non issue for me. Comparing caffeine to the current search I don’t see any significant changes as to where I come up.

These are good income stats Sire! I’m half way close to your Adsense cut for last month, hopefully it would improve and Google should stop sending-in 0.01 cent/click which pisses me off sometimes.
Chitika is working well from the last time I’ve checked. My jobs providing client however still has low returns maybe because it was all tough niche job placements. However, direct advertisers are able to catch up.
To tell you honestly, I’m pretty bad at affiliate earning streams so I doubt if e-junkie would even work for me.

Mathdelane, I reckon the main reason that e-junkie works for me is because people can see for themselves how versatile FlexSqueeze truly is. It’s one of the reasons I change the theme to reflect different times of the year.

DiTesco, I knew the moment I first installed FlexSqueeze that it was a winner. This was even after paying out for Thesis, which I thought was a real let down.

This month’s earnings is good, considering that a lot of us other bloggers don’t earn that much. But I’m pretty sure you earn a lot in combination with the earnings of your other websites.

James, these earnings are from all my sites combined. Unlike some others I’ve seen, I only post what I’ve actually made, no exaggerated figures at all.

I would wish for those stats than what I have right now. The only earning I have on my blog is the adsense and sad to say, it has a poor performance.
I still haven’t tried the other means of promoting my blog with ads or affiliate links, still learning the ropes. So, maybe in the near future I may be able to have an inspiring post like this one from my blog earnings, I hope.

I tell you what we really need Mitch is a whole lot more people visiting our blogs. The more hits we get the greater the chance of lifting our earning potential.
As for CJ, not much we can do there. I’m getting the hits but few conversions. Seems they don’t like the landing page or can’t make up their mind. Must be women I reckon.

Last month I generated 183 clicks on items affiliated with CJ. A 10% conversion rate should have netted me 18 sales. 1% should have produced 1 sale. Yet all those clicks didn’t even get one sale. Therefore I lay blame on the landing pages,and I am entirely blameless.

I had 269 clicks and no sales; freaky. I wonder if it’s that people don’t understand that we’re not really sending them to a landing page, but to a new website that stops them. What do you think of that possibility?

I went back to compare the last three months. The difference seems to be the big swings in Commision Junction and Cash Burners. One or two big sales can make a big difference.
On the other hand your adsense is climbing steadily. I would think that Adsense would be the most consistent metric of performance. So I say well done.

There are a lot of ways to earn money online. Some work better than others. I’ve found that affiliates can work if you can pick the right product at the right time. The consistent earner has always been Adsense.

I had AdSense when I first put up my blog … I only had it on the single post page and I was doing about a dollar a day. But I read somewhere to take it off after you have a regular following because they said you’d make more money from affiliate sales and the AdSense drives traffic off your blog. I make most of my blog income from hosting and other affiliate products (plugins) but I’ve always wondered if I should put the AdSense back on? Hmmm … I haven’t ever sold ads on my blog either but I get a fair number of requests so maybe it’s time? As for the Adsense, unless their ads are competing with your affiliate it shouldn’t be a problem. The way I look at it, all told my affiliate ads generated over 500 clicks with nary a sale. I wish they had clicked Adsense instead. Maybe I should remove the affiliate ads

If the AdSense is working best maybe?! Are you able to tell which AdSense block people are clicking on? I’ve heard the best is in the content itself so I was wondering if that’s true or not. I’m thinking about adding AdSense to some (or all) of my niche stores since eBay is being so … difficult. LOL. Actually I logged in tonight to check my stats and eBay is doing better this month than the past several … *sigh* I pretty much give up trying to figure them out I swear. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help … *huGs*

For example if your getting 3,000 hits a day your prob’ gonna make this amount of money from these different systems.

At the beginning of Decemember I flipped from adsense to Amazon Affilates on one of my blogs and it worked well for me. I guess it’ll be back to poorly perfoming adsens next month though. Hope you had bumper December figures!!

Seeing someone post their earnings was a first for me. It’s great to see such transparency and honesty from someone. Thanks Sire, I’m learning a lot from reading your blog.
I’ve always wondered about the true earnings of the probably millions of bloggers that are supposed to be able to help you earn six figures from blogging. It seems more like ”help them get close to earning six figures’ by buying their ebook or program. Are THEY all earning six figures?
I pretty much pulled most of the Commission Junction adds from my site. It seems like every six months I have to reactive my account because it earns zero commission. Although one sale from Bowflex or BigFitness could net a nice commission.

Aaron, while I am sure that there are six figure bloggers out there, I am also sure there are a lot who also post BS figures in the hope of luring people into believing they know what they are talking about.
