There may well be some of you who may have noticed that I have been a little quiet of late as far as posting and commenting are concerned. No need to worry as it has nothing to do with health and everything to do with treating my family to a well deserved holiday. Something that a lot of people don’t realize is that being self employed means that a lot of the time you need to make sacrifices and where I am concerned it has meant that we have not been able to go on many holidays as a family which is why I took my loving family to Sydney.
I will be posting most of the photos in Photos2Blog, some of which I am quite proud of. For now I am going to show you one of many different shots that I took of the Sydney Opera House.

I highly recommend you to get your FlexSqueeze copy today!

Must be nice, taking a vacation. I haven’t taken a vacation since 2001, and I spent that one at home; that’s a shame. Great shot above, I must say.

One of the drawbacks of working for yourself. The Opera House is a truly remarkable building as every angle of the structure is unique and spell binding.
I can imagine that it is a big drawback working for yourself…however what with the hours I’m working at my current job I don’t really get time for holidays anyway :P
I’m glad you managed to have a good holiday though Sire :)

Yeah, thanks Dan, it was nice seeing the woman enjoying themselves while they spend all my hard earned money.
Seriously though, while being your own boss does have it’s drawbacks it also has a lot of benefits.
As for your holidays, don’t they accrue so that you can take your holidays later?
I know how hard it can be to find the time for a proper vacation when self-employed. But its important to balance work and life priorities. Great pic BTW and I hope that you have a fantastic Christmas
Yeah, I know Steve, but sometimes it is a lot easier to say it that it is to actually do it. Merry Christmas to you and all yours as well mate.
Welcome back! Hope you managed to charge your batteries ;)

Are you kidding, after being dragged all around Sydney after the girls I need a holiday
LOL – I’m often much more exhausted after a vacation than I was before.
I take time off but I don’t usually go anywhere – sometimes of visit family or to the ocean but that’s about it. I am, however, going away for the holidays.

That’s great Kim, and I hope it’s a proper holiday and not a shopping spree.

stratosg´s Last blog post..“MCF: Huntsville” Christmas Giveaway
Thanks stratosg, it was good, although tiring to get away from the normal grind of running a business, and I did enjoy watching the family have a good time and taking close to 400 photos.
Merry Xmas to you and your family as well.
Hey Thanx for stopping by my crib…
btw: I would really like to know what you’re using for commenters quicktags…I’ve downloaded and installed the one I found in WP several times to no avail. What’s making the quicktags option along with the smiley options :?:
Hi Caleb, as to stopping by your crib, it all to do with being part of the F Group and it was my pleasure.
In regards to Quicktags you can find some info here. Take note that the plugin does require you modify the comment.php a little. Perhaps the problem you are having is theme related as it may not like your comment.php.
I had that problem with this theme and other themes and I overcame it by using Brian’s Threaded Comments which comes with it’s own comment.php.
