Why They’re In Violation Of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines

I wrote a post some time back about Charging People For Removing Their Links. The reason I’m getting all these requests is because these guys have all been notified that they’re in violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. This is a bad thing, especially if your website is business related. The reason being that once you get on the almighty Google’s bad side you’re site can be delisted from the Google search engines.

Here is what Google has to say about it.

Violations of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines

Your page has been blocked from our index because it does not meet the quality standards necessary to assign accurate PageRank. We cannot comment on the individual reasons your page was removed. However, certain actions such as cloaking, writing text in such a way that it can be seen by search engines but not by users, or setting up pages/links with the sole purpose of fooling search engines may result in permanent removal from our index. Please read our Webmaster Guidelines for more information.

Once you have modified your site so that it meets our guidelines, you can submit your site for reconsideration.

While there can be a lot of reasons why these guys are in violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, the point that interests us is the one where people have been trying to rig search engine results by using unscrupulous back-linking techniques.

Last week I wrote a post called Is CommentLuv Bad For SEO? That post was necessary because of posts out there which were writing crap about a great plugin. Perhaps this misconception has come about because a lot of requests from Googles to remove such links so as to appease the Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, were being found in the comments! This has nothing to do with CommentLuv and everything to do with the people leaving the comments.

Googles Attitude Towards Publishers

Googles Attitude?

Yes indeed Googles attitude exists and we all know it. At one time or another I’m sure everyone of you have had something to complain about Google. Whether it’s because of all it’s ‘animal’ updates, the latest being the Penguin update. It’s almost like they’re running a zoo instead of a search engine. The problem is every time they come up with an update someone out there suffers because of it. That someone could have been you.

Perhaps you lost your PR or perhaps your traffic numbers went down considerably. Google also has other ways of torturing us. As publishers many of us use Adsense ads on their blogs or websites. I’m sure many of you have read of instances were Google has banned sites from using Adsense or even closed down publishers accounts without any warning. Perhaps you’ve been affected by this type of action. I know I have, specifically my Sexual Aids site and my Load Of Bullshit site.

Heck, I know of people, like my mate Mitch for example, who lost adsense on his blog because of a post he did on cleavage! Speaking of cleavage I did a post called Cleavage Is Bullshit, which I’m sure all the guys out there will appreciate. As I’ve said, I’ve already lost Adsense on that blog so I don’t have to worry about offending Google. That’s the whole problem, you never know whether or not something you’ve written in total innocence will piss Google off enough for them to cancel Adsense on your blog.

Yep, Googles attitude exist and perhaps in a way I can even understand why they do it. They believe they owe it to their advertisers and perhaps some of them would be upset if their ads were displayed on our sites when we publish these depraved posts! Heaven forbid if one of their ads appeared on a post discussing women wearing a low cut dress or something. Sort of makes you wonder though how Google can place an ad such as this one on our site! Will Adbeans Affect Your PR

I've already done two posts on Adbeans, mainly Using Adbeans To Increase Your Online Income and Update On Adbeans - Can You Make Money With Adbeans? I wasn't planning to do anymore posts but something came up that I felt wass of the utmost importance to a lot of my readers, especially those who are concerned about their PR! Firstly, let me say that I have had no problems with Adbeans themselves as they have always paid me my dues. Unfortunately Google does have a problem with me using them and because of that they have decided to strip the blog where I was using their ads of it's PR. Yep, it went from a PR3 to PR0. No biggie for me because I've never been too worried about PR but I reckon because I've lost my PR Adbeans won't be sending any more jobs my way. That's cool too because those links weren't really related to my blog which is probably the main thing that tipped Google off. Is Google A Hypocrite? Speaking of Google, one has to ask the question as to whether or not Google is being hypocritical when it comes to certain things. Take for example my top sexual aids or my load of bullshit blogs. The first was stripped of Adsense because of it's sexual content and the second because Google didn't like the domain name. It seems that Google doesn't wan't it's advertisers exposed to things of a sexual content or even to things that some may find offensive, like the word…
