Traffic Sources For 2014

My Traffic Sources

The most important factor of any blog or website is traffic. Without traffic you’re like a ship in dead water. You just don’t get anywhere. That being the case, if you want to be more successful in 2014 you need to consolidate your traffic sources. Which ones are the most popular ones and which ones bring you the most traffic.

The best way to see what your best traffic sources are for your site is to check your stats. Take my first post of the year, DEA Friday Funnies #97 which just happened to go viral, and all because of one site. Check out the image below. I’ve never had a post that went crazy like that before. I’m writing this post in the morning and already I’ve had more traffic than any day in the past month! Read the rest of this entry

Quality Header Update

I’ve always believed that a quality header for a blog or website is very important. This is because it is the very first thing a person sees when visiting a site. I know how much time I’ve wasted in search of the perfect one and I’ve never really been able to find one. That was when I started designing my own quality headers.

It wasn’t until I bought the Logo Creator that I thought about putting a quality header pack together. One that I could sell to all those people who I know are looking for a quality header for their site. I first wrote about designing a quality header package in a post I called Make Money Online Selling Headers. I followed that up several posts later with a header update post, which brings us to this post.

I can tell you that I’ve finally finished the package. It contains 201 unique quality headers that I know will appeal to a lot of people out there. The package also contains 201 banners which are actual copies of the header but only 480 pixels wide. But that’s not all.  :laugh_tb: I’ve also included 32 great ‘call to action banners’ which on average is 480 pixels x 188 pixels. And there is more! Those call to action banners have been reduced to produce 32 excellent call to action buttons which are 280 pixels wide. You can see some of them below. Read the rest of this entry

Scarcity Samurai Multiplying Your Profits

One of the smartest moves I’ve ever done was when I went out and bought Market Samurai! Not only has it helped me with my SEO when it mattered, it also automatically signed me up for their newsletters which has a lot of useful information, but more importantly it allowed me to become a beta tester for the latest product, Scarcity Samurai. You’re probably wanting to know what it does and don’t worry, I’ll get to that, I’ll even show you an example on this very blog, but before I go there let’s talk about why you may not be getting the conversions that you would like on your blog.

One of the biggest problems we have when marketing is that we’re not able to get that sense of urgency over to the prospective buyer. Even if we say on the sales page that the offer is limited it doesn’t convey to them how limited it is. Heck, they see it almost every day and probably gloss over those few words when they read it not even noticing it. What we need to be able to do is to trigger that switch that is buried in every human brain, the fear of missing out.

You’ve notice how people line up for those sales, concert tickets, sporting events or even for the latest iPhone or game console. Why do you think they do that? It’s because they don’t want to miss out and it’s that fear of missing out causes them to camp out in huge lines in front of the ticket office or shopping outlet, sometimes in the worst weather conditions, just so they don’t miss out.

Well, the guys at Market Samurai have developed a WordPress plugin called Scarcity Samurai that will help to flick that switch in your visitors brain. They’ve just uploaded a NEW video that reveals how you can double your INCOME practically overnight – just by making one ‘tiny tweak’ to your website. I could say this is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time and it is and I know it works because it was the main reason why I bought Market Samurai in the first place. They flicked that switch in me where I didn’t want to miss out on the discount and it worked!

** Here’s the 2-Second summary of what’s in

the video: **

1) How to flick a little known switch in your customer’s mind that COMPELS them to buy Scarcity Samurai worksyour products…

2) Why eBay auctions have a 40% conversion rate, and how you can piggyback this technique to MULTIPLY your existing profits by 2x, 3x, even 4x…

3) How you can set up an automated profit machine in just a few minutes, without a shred of copy writing know how, or needing to write a single line of code…

Watch the video here

I’m sure you guys have heard of the Market Samurai guys before and that they’re the real deal. What you probably don’t realize is that they scientifically test EVERYTHING they do before talking about it. They have to because their reputation for supplying only the best products depends on it.

At first I wasn’t going to worry about being a beta tester because I didn’t think I had anything I could use it on, but then I thought of my Hire Me page. I’m going to have to reword that page some and write a new page so that when the time runs out it directs them to it but that will come later. What I can say is the plugin worked like a dream and was so easy to use. I think it’s safe to say the Market Samurai guys have done it again.

Needless to say you have to be quick if you want to get this plugin at a discount, but that’s what scarcity is all about and like my early bird post I wrote a while back, you have to be quick in this game if you want to earn those extra dollars.

Why I Decided To Start Another Blog

I always thought that my Buy Online Lotto Tickets would be the last blog because as you know I have quite a few blogs under my belt. In actual fact the way things are these days I have more blogs than I can handle and some of them are not getting the attention they deserve. Things change though and circumstances have lead me to start another blog although this time I had a very special reason for doing so.

A while back I lost my sister in law and that caused me to write the post Goodbye Josie, Forever In Our Hearts. I did it as a tribute to her but even after publishing it I was not satisfied that it was enough of a tribute to her. This is because it was placed amongst all my other posts and also because being your normal run of the mill blog It had a whole lot of ads, links and a whole lot of other unrelated stuff detracting from the what In was trying to do and Josie deserves so much more than that.

I looked at some of the sites that were available online and I couldn’t find any that I was happy with. Most of the free ones I found to be pretty tacky as they were full of ads. As for the paid ones most looked pretty generic as they were fully automated. Not able to find one that I was happy with I decided to start my own. I went for a blogging platform because I just don’t have the technical knowhow to build one from scratch. Luckily for me the FlexSqueeze theme gave me all that I needed to build a dedicated site for people who want to leave a lasting online memorial for their loved ones.

Using Market Samurai I decided on A Loving Memorial as the domain domain name. I’m pretty sure you will agree that the tribute to Josie Zollo looks so much better there with that domain name rather than being tagged on the end of wassupblog.com!  I decided to keep the sidebar so that I could place important information there whenever it was needed.

After my post  Blogging Green To Save The Environment I decided to give Green Geeks a go and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with how everything went. I obtained the domain name through them meaning that as long as I continue to use them as my host I never have to pay for it. Yep, thats right, I got the domain name for free.

Once the site went live I didn’t like the way it displayed the “filed under..” category or the “Subscribe to my RSS feed” under each post as it made it look too much like a blog and that wasn’t what I intended. Luckily the FlexSqueeze theme has options that allowed me to get rid of both.

Once I had it all up and running it came to me that perhaps there would be others out there who would also like to memorialise someone who has passed away. If so, perhaps they would prefer to have someone set it up for them rather than have to go through an automated process. If so then maybe I could provide that service for them. But you know, even if no-one ever takes me up on this special memorial service, it doesn’t matter because as long as I am around my tribute to Josie will always be there.

If there are any suggestions on how I could make the site better I would love to hear from you guys.
