Why Doesn’t My iPhone Compass Work is an issue that’s been bothering me all day. I’ve been searching the net for ages and nothing was working. All my settings were right. Waving it around in a figure motion 8 to calibrate it was totally useless and I just felt like a fool.

I even went outside to make sure it wasn’t exposed to a magnetic field and when that didn’t work I was about to give up when it suddenly hit me!

A while back I did a post on the Best Leather Protective Cover For The iPhone and that cover happened to have magnets in it. Once I took that cover off it worked fine. Such an easy solution I’m surprised it never came to me knowing that cover had magnets in it and all.
