It’s not often that I post a video on this blog, but I couldn’t help myself when I came across this one. This ad has only just started being aired on TV this past couple of days and I was quite surprised when one of the survey companies I’m a member of actually paid me money to view it.
The ad was produced by the ANZ bank and is obviously aimed at the small business owner. Normally you tend to cringe at commercials because so much of them are just crap, but this one is really quite entertaining.
Pretty cool huh. PureProfile, the survey company that sent me the link, is pretty well the only survey company that actually pays me a nominal amount even if I get screened out from a survey. As for this particular ad, they paid me 15cents to watch it, and the funny thing is that I would have watched it for free.

Okay, that was funny as sin! I didn’t see that coming, and you’re right, you got paid for something you’d have enjoyed for free. Life doesn’t get much better than that.

Yeah, this is really a cool and entertaining video. It took me a while before I figured why the hell everyone was running after Jack. The final part does explain it all. Hahaha. And to think that you got paid for watching it. Hey, how about for posting the video here, nada? lol

How friggin great of an ad is that! I swear to you we have been trying to get in touch with our small business rep at our bank for the last two weeks, phone calls, drop in and never anything.
I hate banks here in Florida, highway robbery and aggravation.

Great video Sire! That is actually quite a long commercial for TV standards isn’t it? Definitely entertaining for sure. Even better that they paid you to watch it.
Unlike John above… We love our business banker (Paul) over at our local Chase Bank. He sends us business all the time. He even invited me and Mark and our wives to Vegas for Labor Day weekend. Now that’s a banker :)

@Klaus, DiTesco, John and Doug; I’m glad you liked it fellas. I haven’t had much to do with my business banker, although he does send me emails occasionally to keep in touch. Sure would be nice of him if he was to invite me to Vegas though. :smile2_ee:
Being entertaining is an added advantage & attraction value to reach maximum number of viewers, however, the goal is not to be only entertaining. If that’s what you noticed, like rest of us, then they haven’t hit the bull’s eye. But good on you that you got paid for it!

Oh, I think they hit the bullseye alright and the fact that it was entertaining means that the retention value would be a lot higher.

that’s a great advert. It has to be done right though, we have a bank ad in the UK where two shop owners chase down and tackle a bank worker but it always makes me cringe. this one was way better!

Love it love it. ONe of the things I liked about living in Australia was the no nonsense approach to TV they had. If things were shit, they’d say it and they weren’t afraid of making cool commercials like this one.
