Yes, you heard right, Sire is now Dead. While he has had a long and successful career I have decided to lay him down to rest. I made that decision in the comments section of one of HotBlogTips posts. More specifically on Brian’s Fireside Chat post. In this post Brian is chatting with Mitch Mitchell of I’m Just Sharing, another very popular blogger.
They were discussing some of the many blogging topics that interest many bloggers, including guest posts, Google penalties, blog promotion, niche blogging and many more interesting topics.
I decided to finally kill Sire off when Brian mentioned that he came to this blog to see Peter Pelliccia. That’s when I decided to give Sire the flick. After all, potential customers aren’t really interested in pseudonyms. Nope, they’d rather do business with a real person.
Once the decision was made I decided to go to Gravatar.com to update my Gravatar. I decided on using the image you see in this post.
Did you know that you can have multiple Gravatars linking to different emails? I’m thinking of linking this one to my latest Online Betting Site. If you haven’t got a Gravatar I suggest you head on over there and grabbing one. It’s free and amongst other things you’ll probably find you will get more comments accepted than you would without one.
The problem is that not everyone will recognise my new blogging personality. That’s why on some of the comments I’ve been leaving I’ve been using Peter (aka Sire). Not a problem, it just means that I need to get out there and start leaving comments, like I used to in the old days. Well, maybe not as many. Lets face it, I just don’t have the same drive any more.
Commenting Helps To Build Your Presence
I’ve always been a strong advocate for leaving good quality comments. Doing so is a great way to build your online presence. I’ve actually done a whole lot of posts on comments. There was one way back in 2009 called Comments The Life Blood Of A Blog. I also did one in 2010 called Teaching People The Proper Way To Comment where I actually graded all the comments on the post.
And there are so, so many more posts concerning comments. You can use the Google Search feature over there on the right just to get an idea of how many posts there actually are.
So, if you see Peter with the above image commenting on one of your posts you know that in reality Sire actually lives, he just has a new name.
