I have to admit I’ve never heard of a Salwar Suit. Come to think of it I’ve never heard of Craftsvilla either. According to Wikipedia a Salwar Suit is also referred to as a Shalwar kameez or Salwar kameez. Technically it’s a traditional outfit originating in South Asia and is a generic term used to describe different styles of dress.
I don’t know about you but I still can’t picture what Salwar suit actually looks like. I reckon it must be a bloke thing. So, for all the blokes out there I’m going to post a picture of a great looking woman wearing an actual Salwar Suit.
Now that we know what a Salwar Suit is I suppose the next step is finding out where you can get your hands on one of them. That’s where Craftsvilla comes in. You could almost say they’re an online marketplace styled store. Looking at their ‘about page they’re all about getting people to “Discover Unique Indian Products” including Handmade, Vintage, Ethnic, Organic and Natural products from India.
The site itself is fast loading and the menu very easy to understand. It also has a section called ‘Top Feeds” which uses images as a way of catching their customers attention. And it does that very well and I was more inclined to use those to explore the site rather than use the menu on the left.
You will notice that Craftsvilla has so much more to offer than just sarees! They also have great products like jewellery and home decor as well as other products. Truly a one stop shopping experience.
Now, it’s over to you. What do you think of the site and which menu system do you prefer?
