Review Of Easy Video Press

I know that there are a lot of bloggers out there who want to monetize their blogs and I also know that the majority of them want to do it on the cheap. This means that they do not want to spend any money doing so. This is why they join Adsense, ClickBank, Commission Junction and other such sites and then scratch their heads when nothing much happens. Sure a trickle of money finds its way into their account but nowhere near enough for them to live on.

I know all this because I was one of those bloggers. It then came to me what I was doing wrong. I wasn’t investing any money, apart from hosting fees, into my online business and as most businessmen will tell you, you’re not going to get far without pumping some money into your business in order to make it grow. My first investment was purchasing a professional theme. That worked well but it took awhile before I realised it wasn’t enough and I started investing in WordPress plugins.

As WordPress users we all know what a great platform it is and one of the things that makes it so great is the amount of plugins available for it. I decided that just as going all out and buying a professional theme worked well for me then perhaps going beyond the free plugins and purchasing professional ones would also do the trick.

And so I started on my hunt for professional plugins, plugins that I believed increased my chances to make money online. Some of the plugins I’ve purchased include.

  1. CommentLuv Premium
  2. WP Zon Builder
  3. IM Graphics
  4. Covert Messenger
  5. Pay Per View
To name a few. For this post I’m going to introduce you to another plugin that I’ve just purchased. This one will help you to publish, customise and monetize the videos on your WordPress blogs. According to the publisher this plugin is normally sold for $67 but JP Schoeffel, more commonly known simply as JP, is running a crazy sale where he is offering a 80% discount and as you know I’m not one to miss out on a sale, especially when I can see the potential in the plugin I am purchasing. Which is why I always publish a post almost immediately after purchasing the plugin so I can offer my readers the same deal, just as I did when I bought Andy’s CommentLuv Premium and I know there are a lot of disappointed bloggers who waited too long thereby missing out on the incredible savings.

Introducing Easy Video Press

I’m sure many of you have read about the value of YouTube videos and how more and more bloggers are using it to provide valuable content to their blogs. I’m also sure there are a lot of people out there who having this knowledge they don’t know what to do with it. Many do not even know how to embed a YouTube video into their blogs! Enter the Easy Video Press plugin! This plugin resolves three ‘what ifs’ situations.

  • What if I could easily Publish any video on a blog without writing a single line of code, or without pasting obscure embed code?
  • What if we could easily Customize this video in any way we want withought getting our hands dirty and with just a few clicks, directly on the blog?
  • Finally, it’s great to be able to easy publish and customize videos, but What If I could easily Monetize this video?
The Easy Video Press provides the answer for all those ‘what ifs’ and it’s why I believe bloggers out there will want to purchase it, both for their own benefit as well as being able to offer it to their readers as an affiliate. Hang on a sec, what’s that? You want to know how it allows you to monetize your videos. Let me list them for you.

How It Monetizes Your Video

  • Share (send to friend) option (not for .swf videos)
  • Overlay can be linked to another web page
  • Redirect to new page when the video or YouTube or sound playback finishes
  • All of the above can be done on a video by video basis

Can you see the potential? You can install a video about whatever your promoting and once the video has played out it can direct the viewer to whatever product or affiliate you’re promoting. As an example, let’s say you’re promoting a weight loss product. You find a YouTube video that promotes weight loss, adjust the settings for Easy Video Press and then once the video has completed it will automatically direct the viewer to whatever weight loss product you’re affiliated with.

It doesn’t have to be a sales page either, it can be whatever url you choose including one of your own posts! I’m sure you can see the money making potential here. Heck, you can even install your own cover page or logo to the video and make it linkable! Honestly, you should just get Easy Video Press before the price goes up because I don’t know how long you will be able to get it for the incredible price of $18.75

  1. If I used more video on my blog I’d be all over a plugin like this. It’s easy enough for me to manually embed videos, but it would be nice to be able to properly monetize those. I’m sure it comes in handy for your blog.

    1. I don’t utilize YouTube videos anywhere near as much as I should Jeremy but now that I have this plugin I’ll be looking at doing it more often and I’ll be looking at using those videos that will help me sell sell certain affiliate products.

What I really like about it is that it will allow me embed a cover page and a linkable logo to almost any video. Directing viewers to an affiliate page of my choice is an extra bonus. :drunk_tb:

  2. I totally agree, Peter! You need to pump some money in your business in order to earn lots more. The theme is important too, I’ve read earlier today that Andy-I-don’t-know-how have bought the rights of a professional theme which brought millions to Chris Guthrie, a leading expert on behavioral law and economics.

    1. “Andy-I-don’t-know-how”?

Anyway, about pumping money into your business, it’s been my experience that this is true. If I didn’t do that when I was in business they would not have been as profitable for as long as they were.

  3. I must admit that I am one of those people who usually have problems embedding/including videos in posts. :) This WP plugin seems to be great, especially for it’s money making possibilities. Thanks for sharing, Sire!

    1. Don’t worry Laura, you’re not the only one that has problems, which is why I think this is a good investment. Not only can it make the owner money they can also profit by recommending it to their readers.

    Hey Sire,

Okay, I had been told about this plug-in before but in all honesty, no one had told me the true benefits for using it accept that it was easy for loading videos into your posts. Well, I never had a problem loading videos into my post so I just blew it off. I mean why add one more plug-in right!

After watching your video I get it accept, when the video ended, it did take me to the product page and I hadn’t had a chance to comment yet. That could be a problem for some unless you would much rather have the sale then the comment. Me personally, I want both. I know, I know, stingy little thing I am.

Great job with that explanation Sire. Huh, you’ve definitely got me to thinking now. Darn it! :-)

Hey, have a great day my friend and a fabulous week. I’ll be sure and do the same.

    ~Adrienne

    1. Hi Adrienne,

that bothered me a little as well and like you I want both. Still, there are some bloggers who won’t be bothered, you know those bloggers who have links in their posts that take you away and then you have to back-page your way back. :hey_you:

Having said that I reckon it should be too hard to make is so the plugin opens up a new page at the end of the video. Having that in mind I shot of an email to JP to see if he could include that feature in the next update. :thumbup_ee:

Good job with this post Sire, and it looks like a nice plugin for folks that aren’t sure how to embed videos and at the same time want to potentially make money off them. I’m not at that place yet, and I do know how to embed, but if I ever get to the point where I do decide on monetizing them, it’s good to know about this.
Mitch Mitchell recently posted…Don’t Lie About Your HealthMy Profile

    1. Yep, and I’m just the guy to find out about it

  6. This is a tool that all bloggers should be using. I have resisted the urge to purchase it as I make my videos using AfterEffects normally and can do the same using that.
Chances are I will end up buying it as it does offer a very fast and simple way to monetize your videos. Great info Sire.

    1. Hey Mark,

I have to admit, when I first read the blurb about it I wasn’t at all interested because I do know how to embed a video into a post. But when I saw what else it could do I could see the potential and I knew I had to own it.

    2. I have aftereffects and am still struggling to learn it as my attention span is so short when the tv is blaring nearby. Wow, it gives me some motivation to get back and learn it now that i know it could do the things Sire is saying.

But then, lazy as I am, I think I’ll give a little more thought on this plugin as this is obviously one that’s perfect for one such as me.

Sire, are there any legal issues about layering one’s linked image over somebody else’s video?

      1. Sire, after I submitted the comment and the page refreshed, there was a small black box floating in the middle of your video with the words: “ERROR Unknown Error(underlined). This may be a Temporary Error. Please Try Again!”

        1. Seems fine now James. I reckon for some reason it couldn’t connect to the YouTube video feed. I’ve seen that happen occasionally on other sites as well

      2. Hi James, I don’t believe so as you’re not claiming ownership of it or anything, nor are you manipulating the video code either. Don’t forget that it only appears the way it does on your site and doesn’t affect the video on YouTube at all.

Good tips, i think i learned a lot by reading this. It is true that most bloggers expect to make money out of thin air but this is the rarest occasion. You have to spend some money in order to be serious and attract readers!
Rashmi Sinha recently posted…Google Pagerank Matters:- TechInitio is PR2!My Profile

    1. Well, this plugin isn’t about attracting readers, it’s more about increasing the potential to make money from those readers.

  8. But how to get traffic to your video?
Most of that visitors don’t want to watch a video and don’t have time to click it..

What i can do int hat case?

    1. Ehmad, you don’t get traffic to the video. You get traffic to the post where the video is embedded and then you hope that your post interests the reader enough that he can’t help but watch the video.

  9. “I know that there are a lot of bloggers out there who want to monetize their blogs and I also know that the majority of them want to do it on the cheap. This means that they do not want to spend any money doing so.”

Too many people have this attitude. Too many people still think blogging is an easy, get rich quick scheme that they can employ in lieu of hard work. I like that you are encouraging people to take the time to invest into their online sites. It would be insane to think you could open a store and not spend any money on it. Publishing videos like this is a neat idea, I’ll have to look into it a little more seriously I think.

    1. Thanks Robert. You know whats weird is that so many people expect to pay money when they buy a ‘real’ offline business but when it comes to doing so online they expect to do it without spending a dime.

So, they get themselves a free blogging platform and still hope to make a whole heap of money. If they would do a bit of research they’ll probably find out that the majority of successful bloggers are actually investing more than time into their blogs.

    1. More and more people are using video in their blogs, heck some use just videos! I wouldn’t use the monetizing part of the plugin in every video I posted but I would use it when promoting reputable products that I believe in.

  10. I definitely need to get more video into my posts, I haven’t gotten into video as much as I’d like to. Do you have any posts or articles on producing video content to share when you don’t have much experience?
Jim Jenks recently posted…Melaleuca Could Be the AnswerMy Profile

    1. I’m afraid I haven’t Jim…maybe I should do one.

Honestly though, the only experience I’ve had is by actually going out and doing them. You could always check my YouTube channel to see if I’ve improved any :day_dreaming:

Anyway, the beauty of this plugin is that you don’t have to use your own video! You can use almost any video that is found on YouTube and so it doesn’t have to be one of your own. :thumbup_ee:

I am pretty sure you can find a lot of tutorials if you search the web a little bit. Just google keywords like ” Video in blogs” or similar. You will get enough information to start with

          1. Oh, I realised that, I was just thanking your for handing out the advice, something I failed to do.

  11. Thanks for the great review. Video marketing is an extremely important aspect of Digital Marketing and is always useful to read reviews and tips from other people.

    Thanks for sharing the review.

    1. I wouldn’t be the person I claim to be if I didn’t share what I learn with you guys Anton.

  12. Hi sire,
Same like You I was also much more trapped in clickbank and adsense etc. But now I have shifted my ways from them. I am highly agreed to your point that WordPress is a great platform and the wide availability of the plugins make it more useful and effective ! Easy Video Press is attracting my attention ! I want to give it a try!

    1. Hey Adrian, all I can say is that if you’re an affiliate marketer who loves to use YouTube then you’re going to love this plugin.

  13. Video press has always been my choice since it was launched in the market! It is a worthy software to carry out all the works! Cool one!

    1. Hows it working for you Jack?

  14. i don’t use too many videos in my blog !
so i guess i don’t need one right now !

i am planning to start video blogging ! hope i could use at that time
great post anyways ! keep it up!

    1. I don’t either but now that I have this plugin I’ll be looking for videos that will help me market some of my affiliates.

  15. Great post, thanks for the great review of Video press and giving me ideas to monetize my videos easily, I will be checking it out!

Thanks again for the great post!

    1. No worries Bobby :smoke_tb: When you consider the low price of the plugin I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a great investment.

  16. I had to pass on this plugin. When a sales page tells me that WP is the best for sales – and their plugin is the best for videos… and is not actually hosted on WP (and is using the competition’s video script) it sent all the wrong messages. Thrilled to hear it’s working so well for you however, that’s a good sign.

    1. Hey Kim, being a sales page I’m not surprised it’s not hosted on WP but that was a great pickup on them using the competitions script. I wonder why they didn’t use the actual script they’re promoting. A serious error on their part. :naughty:
Too early to tell how well it’s working for me though as this is the first time I’ve used it. Having said that I still see a lot of potential for this plugin.

  17. That seems to be a good product. Getting traffic from videos (youtube) is a must. I guess I’ll try this out.
I’ve never tried to get traffic through videos. I guess this is my chance.!!

    1. It’s a great product and well worth the money

  18. I’ve been using Easy Video Player for several months and I can confirm that it’s a really good piece of kit!

    Rob

    1. Thanks Robert for adding to the conversation. It’s always good to hear from someone who has actually used the product or service being discussed.
