Proof That Regular Commenting Does Pay
Some of you may have noticed that I have a new logo, one that I think is pretty snazzy, and it’s all to do with my commenting regularly on other blogs. I’m always on the lookout for blogs that I can leave meaningful comments on and a lot of the time I find one that I like so much that I subscribe to it so as not to miss any updates.
Work From Home Business Blog is one such blog and unbeknownst to me I won a competition for being the Top Commentator and that prize was a professionally designed logo, and there it sits for all to see. Thanks Peter for the prize.
Yet that wasn’t the only thing that resulted from my commenting sprees. I’ve also got to meet a lot of other bloggers who come back frequently, and on top of that I get a heck of a lot more visitors. So you see, commenting does pay.

Your new logo looks absolutely stunning. I have to say when I first got it from the web designer, it didn’t look good on its own – against a backdrop of boring looking text in my email. But gosh it looks very nice here and quite befitting to your great looking blog. Thanks for being such a consistent regular commentator (and you’re leading the pack again this month it seems). Hey Mitch, you are pretty close second, so anything goes for this month.

By the way, Sire, sometimes when I come to this blog, I get rerouted to a sales page. Am I going over something that’s automatically taking me elsewhere, or what? And don’t ask what I may be hovering over; you know how it is when you’re just moving your mouse around.

All I can say Mitch is that I do not use anything like pop-ups or pop-unders and such crap so unless you inadvertently click on something you should stay put. After all, it’s hard enough getting you guys here, why on Earth would I send you away.

When I started blogging, regularly commenting on other blogs was a great way to promote my blog and build a community around it.

That is so true Vered, and I reckon that replying to the comments left by others also shows that you are listening and that their comments are important to you.

And I noticed that CommentLuv only allows you to select your own topic when you comment the first time; sneaky. It also must take some time before it registers your latest post, as it’s not showing my latest and I wrote it more than six hours ago, I believe.
