My intention for Wassup Blog has always been to inform and to entertain in the hope that if I achieve this more and more people will return to see what new content I’ve come up with. This has never been a niche blog and was never intended as such. I have posted on a variety of subjects from blogging tips to making money with a few of my own short stories thrown in. I think that I have been succeeding as I’ve noticed a definite increase in Wassup’s readership.
This post falls into the entertainment category. It’s a video from the Barely Political Series featuring the sexy Obama Girl. The video was produced as a fun reaction to Obama Barack’s stimulus package. I’ve seen a few of these and I must say that this is definitely one of the better ones.

First, I see that Tweet My Blog is working again; good.
Second, the Obama Girl is interesting, but it might be time to move her into the 15 minutes of fame category. I know his wife isn’t all that happy with it. Still, it was a fun video, I’ll admit.

I don’t actually like all her videos, and in this one she played a smaller part that usual, but I rather liked the way it was put together.
I don’t know why his wife would be pissed, it’s not like he is involved and yes it’s good that tweetmyblog is working again.
I think it’s two reasons. One, the idea of “Obama girl” when she has two daughters, and two, the implication some people in the press made last year that Obama might have something going on with her, which was proven to be false, as they’ve never met, but if you’re the wife, and it was this critical,… yeah, you might not be crazy about it either.

There’s also a racial angle involved here, Sire. That could have proved a big complication during the campaign.
Really? I don’t think that I’ve ever come across a racial angle in any of the videos I’ve seen. Still, I have seen all that many.
No, you’re missing it. What we had was the first black man running for president. Suddenly this white woman comes out with videos calling herself “Obama Girl.” Even though it’s becoming more the norm, that would have been a major scandal here, and the “other side” tried to make something out of it, especially with him being married to a black woman. That’s what I mean; race is still a big issue over here.

I didn’t see it from that perspective. I didn’t think that sort of thing was still considered a scandal these days. Reckon I must be a little naive.
Not naive, just not here in America seeing what people are still like sometimes. I mean really Sire, there are people on the “other side” who are still griping that they don’t believe Obama is actually a U.S. citizen, and think his birth certificate was faked. That’s the kind of mentality we’re dealing with.

I’m so glad you like it Kristi because I would have had to something really drastic if you stopped popping in. Yep, WassupBlog is a bit of a mixture, that’s for sure, sort of a one stop blogging experience.

Funny stuff. My favorite is the one when she pokes fun at Hillary Clinton. It was very a very tense primary in the States and that brought a little relieve. Politics is a place where we need laughs as people on all ends of the political spectrum tend to take things very personally.
