Before I tell you why multiple web hosts is a good idea I would like to remind everybody that today is the deadline for ensuring that your blog / website is mobile friendly. I’ve written two posts about this the first showed how I believed FlexSqueeze2 was better than other mobile friendly blogs. The second post showed how I easily made my websites mobile friendly using FlexSqueeze2. Both posts had videos showing how I performed these tasks.
Having Multiple Web Hosts Good For SEO
Some of you may not know this but I use more than one web host to host my blogs and websites. I do this for the following reasons.
Multiple Domains can put too much stress on your server. Although most web hosts advertise that you can have as many domains as you want with your hosting package this is not entirely true. Especially if those domains host blogs. Have you ever had your host take your blog offline because you were using too much of their resources? Imagine if you had several blogs all with the one host?
Multiple domains on multiple web hosts is better for your SEO. I originally thought linking between my blogs while hosting with one web host was a good thing. Apparently not because Google knows you own all those blogs and so does not give those links as much value as links coming from external hosting accounts.
Having multiple web hosts is also a sound investment. It’s so much better than having all your eggs in one basket. This is because having your host go down takes all your sites with it.
Who Are My Multiple Web Hosts
This blog used to be hosted on Blue Host but it got to be too big for a shared hosting account. After a lot of research I moved it to InMotion Hosting a VPS hosting account. I also host The Gifts Guru, Where Bloggers Meet and EzeSportsbetting.com with them. To date they’ve been exceptional and I’ve had no issues with them
