Yep, unfortunately evan, that is more effort than I am willing to put into it. Still, I just figure there would be something in it and that it would make an interesting post.

I have been wondering the same things due to recent spikes in traffic. I have been trying to look at when they were posted vs. traffic spikes in analytics.

It seems there is a small connection but as with anything you need a large sample size to do any sort of beneficial analysis.

Thanks Barbara, that sounds very reasonable. I reckon though that I will just hit the publish key, like I always do, when the post is done as I always want it out there as soon as it's finished.

Hi Sire - I've read that the best time to publish is at 11 a.m. EST. I've never tried it as I try to cater to my readers who are in different time zones. I'm on PST and I believe I'm about 12 hours behind you. I try to publish so my readers from across the world will have my most current post early in the day.

Yes, I'm registered, and I know I am because now I can select which post I want to showcase. How weird about the avatar, right?

That's so true Mitch, especially if you were to blog about some ground breaking news.

In regards to commentluv, it says that you are not yet a member. Did you complete the entire process?

I would say that timing is of the essence, as far as blog posts, because much of the material present in these writings relates to events or activities that have occurred recently. The events quickly become history, and so all that is left is the value/meaning behind what occurred.
