There’s been rumors floating around that I love the ladies, and I have to admit I love women, and although I may flirt a little on the net I hope that I do it in a nice way, and I want everyone to know that my heart belongs to the woman that I’ve been married to for 23 years, or is that 22? I forget sometimes and I don’t have the balls to ask her.
OK, I just asked, it’s been 24 Years and I’m still alive to post about it
Anyway, I do love all women and I respect them for who they are, even though I may tend to tease them I hope I don’t come over as a male chauvinist pig, because I’m not. I learn a lot from women and this post came about because a very beautiful lady, Anne of Anne On Life, introduced me to another way to increase my online income. She called her post Xomba Testing 1…2…3… and on her advice I joined under her, which led to some very interesting Tweets.
The money part of it comes from being able to share the adsense earnings, a 50/50 split, with the site’s owner, but that’s not why I joined. I joined more for the social side of it and the fact that Xomba can be used to promote my blogs. This can be done by using their bookmark feature which is a short post, 50 words or so, which includes a link to another site that you find interesting. This bookmark is shared with the entire Xomba community and as I write this there are over 430 of them online!
Naturally like any social networking site you don’t want to keep bookmarking your own blog as people may get cheesed off with that sort of shenanigans.
You can also enter articles which need to be around the 150 word mark, and easily achievable goal, and this could also contain a link to one of your blogs but I wouldn’t overdo it. Nobody likes people who abuse a good thing.
Anyway I’m giving it a go and I want as many of you as possible to do the Xomba with me, and ladies if you want I’ll even let you be on top.

Well, I do like it when the guy is under me.. uh, what were we talking about? :innocent2_tb:
Like any community-based site interaction is key. I’ve been checking out some of the other bookmarks and articles, but haven’t left a ton of comments yet. I need to put this on the ever growing schedule of things to do. Besides, there is bound to be lots of interesting things to be found. Hey, and if it helps pay the bills [or funds my semi-retired state] then I’m all for it.
yep, and I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction Anne. Nothing like a woman showing a man where to go
Like you though, I haven’t the time to explore it properly but first chance I get I will make sure to give them a proper going over.
Isn’t Xomba just just like associated content? and bukisa? these services and websites just seem to keep popping up.
.-= Mitch´s last blog ..Fast Weight Loss – Is It Possible? =-.
Never heard of bukisa, and as for Associated Content, I’m pretty sure it’s not the same at all.
With Associated Content you write articles for the site. With Xomba you can write articles for the site or bookmark your own or other people’s articles to promote. Payment is made through your Adsense account as well. As far as “these sites keep popping up”, Xomba has been around for over 10 years. I have yet to find anything negative and read many instances where people make their payout through Adsense monthly by utilizing the service.
Then again, it’s like anything else, you get out of it what you’re willing to put in and it’s certainly not for everyone. For me I think it’s definitely worth checking out, if for nothing else than for another venue with which to promote worthwhile information.
.-= Anne Bender´s last blog ..SEO Experiment – Take Two =-.
Also, correct me if I’m wrong, with Associated Content, don’t you get paid per accepted article?
It depends. If you accept a submission request, then you are paid whatever the request pays once the article is approved. Additionally, you are paid per view [$1.50 per 1,000 views]. Check out earning money with AC for more.

In that case it’s somewhat different from Xomba
that’s great. flirting a little bit in the internet is oK as long as you are still devoted with your wife.
.-= cebu attractions´s last blog ..Gadgets on Vacation Travel =-.
Sure am, and whatever flirting I do I never take it too far that the other person gets the wrong idea.
I know you are true to your wife and would never think otherwise. Just so you know. :wink_wp:
.-= Anne Bender´s last blog ..Xomba Testing 1…2…3… =-.
Thanks Anne, now I can feel a whole lot easier when I flirt with you
I went to Xomba and had 2 popups! Come on, popups are so 1999 AND annnoying!
.-= Anthony @ Innovatively Simple´s last blog ..Things I’d Rather Do #1 =-.
I got a pop under, but I find it a small inconvenience for the service they provide.
What are some of the other sites that offer the same service? I’ve been using Digg here and there.
.-= Anthony @ Innovatively Simple´s last blog ..Things I’d Rather Do #1 =-.
Heck, I reckon there are hundreds but I can’t think of any that are willing to split the adsense earnings with you.
You can see the ones I’m a member of by clicking the “Bookmark and Share” icon at the end of the post. I will be adding to that as I get time.
A little bit of flirting helps us all, as long as you don’t get caught!
Not come across Xomba before I will check it out. Has it helped either of your traffic or got you more links?
Thanks for the tip.

No worries Richard, I’ll try not to get caught.
As to the traffic and links, seeing as I only just started, it is too early to tell.
Oh great, ANOTHER one! hehe. I’ll check things out, thanks man. ;)

No worries Dennis, that’s what I’m here for.
Well, thanks for introducing me to Xomba. Never heard about it before. So much to do and so little time available. Anyway, since there are “ladies” involved, I’ll most likely give it a go. If I decide to join, then I will make sure I do it, err, through your link, hehe. With all due respect ladies:)

Good on you DiTesco, I’m sure the ladies are getting more than enough clicks.
Hi
Can you tell me the difference between xomba and hub pages and infobarrel do they all do the same thing?
Also do you just use them to create back links to your original site that you want promoting?, if so which one gives better link juice?
appreciate you advice
I’m not familiar with those, but maybe someone else can answer your question.
As to the second part of your question, creating links to your sites is one of the benefits of being a Xomba member.
I’ve never used infobarrel, but I would compare HubPages to Squidoo in the way you write you pages, but it’s more like Xomba in how you get paid. You’re paid when visitors click your ads [Adsense, Amazon, & eBay], no pay per page view. They also allow you to use Kontera on your pages. But, like anything else, you have to write and interact with the community.
Sire, you might enjoy this story of my worst date ever. It’s on HubPages, but seriously, this was just too funny not to share.
That was a cool story Anne especially because you can laugh about it. I’m not sure how many others would see it that way of they were in your shoes.
I was once a Xomba user back in 2008 when I was still starting up my self-hosted blog. It was quite cool thou that it brings some traffic to the site however, I decided to turn down the service because it’s out-ranking some valuable keywords in the SERP that are supposed to be bringing traffic to my site first-hand than referred traffic from it because in the long run, direct traffic would benefit me more.
My experience would be different from others so I believe that it all boils down to which service/method serves our best interest in the long run.
.-= Mathdelane @Software Critics´s last blog ..How to Generate In-Image Ad Revenue from Your Website =-.
Shouldn’t be a problem as long as your Xomba articles didn’t use the same keywords as the articles on your blog.
So are people saying google likes xomba more than hubpages?
want do people think of just focusing on Xomba or Hubpages or infobarrel its just they allot of article hosting places on the internet …I just really want to know which one ranks articles better and which one give me the most link juice? and focusing on that article hosting site
.-= ng@passportcovers´s last blog ..Do Follow Blog, Comment Luv Keyword Luv =-.
As far as I know nobody is saying Google like one over the other although personally I think Google likes Squidoo better, but that’s only my opinion.
The post title alone has the keywords so that’s where the conflict began.
.-= Mathdelane @Software Critics´s last blog ..How to Generate In-Image Ad Revenue from Your Website =-.
So don’t use the Keywords in the post title. You can use something completely different thereby targeting different keywords from that in you actual blog post thereby increasing exposure.
I’d rather keep the hits to my site and the whole Adsense sharing scheme. I done with them for a long time and there’s no turning back. Peace out. :)
.-= Mathdelane @Software Critics´s last blog ..How to Generate In-Image Ad Revenue from Your Website =-.
That’s cool mate. Me, I prefer to diversify to maximize my exposure. :tongue_wink_ee:
Hi Sire,
You are a very smooth talker and I’m sure the ladies love that even if it’s just flirting.
You keep coming with all these money making ideas which is great but where do we get the time to even check them all out, let alone implement them?
I do appreciate your doing the research for your readers and I look forward to your follow ups on these money makers so that we can pick the best ones that are proven to work.
I value your opinions so I’ll be waiting for your verdict on Xomba of which I’ve never heard before.

Yep, I Keep coming up with these ideas because that’s one of the many reason for having this blog. I, like you don’t have the time to implement these money making opportunities to their full potential, but at least I can test them so others who do have the time can utilize them.
I currently don’t have time to see beyond Twitter and Facebook. So, please share your experience with us and may be I will join the team in future.

Goodness, another Mitch to contend with.
When I saw the topic, I was thinking you were promoting this exercise thing, and now I guess that’s Zumba.
Meanwhile, I hope it works for you. I find myself forgetting to bookmark my posts anywhere else, so I’ll probably hold off on this one for awhile longer.

Yeah, and about time too
Haven’t heard of Xomba. If creating links to my sites is one of the benefits of being a Xomba member then I need to think about it. By the way, flirting with the opposite sex isn’t harmful if things don’t go overboard.
No way that will happen, I have my wife and my God to keep me in line
Sire, I don’t know you very very well yet, and certainly not in anything approaching the “Biblical” way… (and most likely never will that way,) :) but you seem like a fun-loving bloke, with great witty writing — and that’s good enough for me.
Xomba, I’m already a Zombie, trying to figure out Twitter, and such. :) But I’ll have a peek.
And guess what??? I chose YOU — yes YOU!!! To link permanently on my Subscribe page. Remember a few weeks ago, you left a string of reasons, including a request for bra flinging – hey, a bloke’s a bloke, wot? :) Well, one thing you said was very good, I thought. And you are linked, BABY!! Read all about it in this post… well, the one that will show up in Comment Luv below.
Whoo-hoo!!
xo
Oh, Happy Easter! Looking right festive over here.

Jannie, Jannie, Jannie, I am so glad that I left such a lasting impression on you, especially if it’s in a good way. You have certainly piqued my interest so I’m heading over right now to see what I’m in for.
Happy Easter to you too.
LOL! Sire this post had me laughing out loud!
Definitely no indication of pig-like behavior… you may love the ladies but I’d say the feelings mutual!
Social interaction is incredibly important. So many people forget that. Its almost like social media lends itself to spamming even if its not what we should be doing. There are often fine lines between what is spam to one and spam to another. Even though I’m pretty aggressive to spammers on places like Facebook, I know that sometimes due to my pure hyper-posting (high volume but not necessarily repetitive) even I can be seen as crossing an invisible line.
Xomba, looks interesting. I’m curious how it feels in terms of interactions with others. With its focus on income, I’m concerned it would feel like startup.biz which is so full of spamming it makes me sick. I’d love to hear your “insider review” LOL
Kimberly
.-= Kimberly Castleberry@social media´s last blog ..Caps Off To Internet Social Memes =-.
I’ve never heard of startup.biz Kimberly, but so far, from the little I’ve seen, I reckon they moderate everything really well as I haven’t seen any spam.
Hey new here,I found this blog post very interesting.Recently I bought a product called Stupidly simple seo which made use of Xomba to rank quickly in the search engines without even backlinking, guess what I was shocked it really did work.I was ranking for a very competitive keyword in less than 48 hours and yeah did get lots of sales but some users who bought this product spammed the hell out of it and just after 3 days the site owners found it out and banned all of us and deleted our posts.I just dont know why all these people spam these web 2.0 sites and the innocent ones have to suffer.
Check out what john recently posted..46 lcd samsung-Read this before you buy it
It’s always been the way John, the fact that the majority have to suffer because of the few who abuse the system.
Could you use Stupidly simple seo with your own hosted blog? That may be the way to go, especially if it helps your SERPS
