Time for an interlude so that we can all relax for a little while. Simply put on some soothing music in the background and sit back with a lovely cup of coffee, or a cold beer for the blokes, and let the lovely colors of these petite flowers soothe and relax you.
Yeah I know guys that you would much prefer some hot and naked women lounging is front of you, but let’s face it I’m trying to relax, not arouse you. So pull your heads in and do as your told.

I came across these one morning as I went for a nice stroll. Sometimes it’s nice to simple take a break to smell some flowers, or at least take a photo of them.

Doubt if there are any photo tricks that I do that would fool you Tim, but I would like to think so.
That is a beautiful photo. I say if you don’t have time to take a walk to smell or photograph the flowers, then smell the ones you normally rush by everyday on your way to your car, work, bus, etc. And carry a camera with you everywhere, so if you don’t want to smell them, you can take a quick photo of them. Find a way to incorporate appreciation of beauty into your life no matter how much or little time you have. :)

David, you should really take your camera with you when you go on a hike, you just never know what great photo opportunities might jump out in front of your lens.
AND, if you’re a gear head like me and don’t want to lug 34lbs of camera gear on your hike, buy yourself a little P&S. My wife got a (pocket sized) Canon Digital Elph (SD1000) for her birthday last year…we can take that thing anywhere, it’s been great!! She might get to use it one of these days too!
