Super Rug Guy

Super Rug Guy

Sometimes rug cleaning can be such a pain. Its times like these when I wish there were a Super Rug Guy superhero. Super Rug Guy is the guy you call when your carpets are way beyond your expertise to clean. The vacuum cleaner has done all it can do, and no matter how many times you run your vacuum over the carpets they still look like crap. You’ve gone to the supermarket and bought their carpet cleaner only to find that it was a total waste of money.

When There Is No Super Rug Guy

Unfortunately, there is no Super Rug Guy, and we have to rely on a local rug cleaning company. But, having said that we don’t just want any old rug cleaning company. We want one that will do the job properly. Not only that, we want to make sure they’re not using any harmful chemicals that will put the environment at risk.

We want to make sure they’re using the latest technology, and ensure their rug cleaners that use minimal amount of water. This is important to me for two reasons. First because water is a resource that should not be wasted and secondly I don’t want to come home to a carpet that still saturated.

One thing I always do when I need professional help is to see what type of feedback they’ve been getting from their previous customers. With social media being the way it is today it wouldn’t be hard to find if the rug guys you’re looking at have any negative feedback.

It’s also a good idea if you could get them to come over to give you a quote. This way they get to look at the problem first hand and you get to pick their brains about how they’re going to tackle the problem.

You know, maybe we don’t need a Super Rug Guy after all.😉

Home Restoration

For the purpose of this post when referring to home restoration I’m not talking about home renovation, that’s something entirely different. Nope, home restoration I’m covering today is all to do with restoring your prized possession to its original condition after it being subject to any type of water damage.

What Water Damage Requires Home Restoration

home restoration

Water damage may come in many forms, and some water damage won’t require the level of home restoration I’m talking about in this post. So, what type of water damage needs major home restoration?

Storm / Wind Damage:

Depending on where you live this type of damage can be more likely to occur than others. Imagine the state of your home after a freak wind blows some or all of your roof off. Especially if its raining cats and dogs.

Fire Damage:

Unlike storm damage, any home can be subjected to the destructive nature of fire. It’s not just the damage caused by the flames that’s an issue. It’s also the harm caused by the firemen as they put out the fire.

Sewer Damage:

Sometimes, your home may escape the ravages of a flood only to be subjected to sewer damage as the sewage backflows into your house. This can also occur as a result of damaged or blocked plumbing.

I’m sure you get the picture by now. So, what do you do in a situation like this? While you may be able to repair any small water damage, large works require help from the experts. In my opinion, it’s always best to get help from your local expert as they are more familiar with the area.

I’ve sourced several such local experts which I’ve listed below.

Specialised SEO

I’ve seen and been approached, by a lot of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) gurus in my online life but never by one offering specialised SEO.

What Is Specialised SEO

specialised SEO

A normal SEO expert will look at your company and then work out an SEO strategy that would hopefully put your company on top of the search engines. Unfortunately not knowing all the ins and outs of your company could hamper the results of whatever SEO package they come up with.

What we need is specialised SEO, an SEO professional who specialises in a particular niche. One may even call them a niche SEO expert. Sounds like a lot of hot air doesn’t it? I thought so too until I came across Restoration SEO.

You may be asking yourself what restoration SEO was all about. In a nutshell, its SEO that targets the restoration industry explicitly. One would imagine that because these guys are focusing on the restoration industry, their knowledge of that would help them in formulating the best SEO packages for the prospective restoration customers.

The first thing they would do is a keyword audit of a customers current site. As they stipulate on their site;

“Since we have already set up and currently manage other restoration company’s web presence, we already know the right keywords to be used on a website. We will perform a detailed inspection to make sure all of the technical aspects of your website is using the correct keywords. What is not correct will need to be fixed and we will create a URL and page structure report to show you all the changes needed.

SEO & Backlinks

Now, I’ve been blogging for some 14 years and for me, the most time-consuming and challenging aspect of SEO is link building. While they do not guarantee the number of backlinks, a customer will get they will ensure to increase the page and domain authority of restoration customers by linking like content in their restoration industry-specific network.

All I can say is too bad I’m not in the restoration game.
