What Is This World Coming To When It Comes To Morals

I did a post on my Load Of Bullshit blog some time ago called Shame on Noel Biderman For Promoting Adultery which was about my personal opinion of this blokes idea of promoting adultery as a being good for business. Perhaps I’m a puritan but I just feel that this sort of thing is pretty sick.

It continues to get a fair bit of traffic and even had a visit from Noel himself when he attempted to justify his immoral actions. There was a time when adultery was pretty well frowned on, and perhaps rightly so as it effects could be far reaching, and for what, a bit of personal gratification?

I’m sure that in those days the retribution for trying to promote the act would have been just as harsh as it was committing it. I’m also pretty sure you wouldn’t have seen any posters or town criers around the place asking people to forget their responsibility to their families just so they could get have a little fun.

As can be seen from this video, good old Mr. Biderman is still out there pedaling his wares. This married man is hell bent on wrecking the marriages of others, and his excuse? They’re going to do it anyway so why shouldn’t he make some money out of it?

As that video shows he’s a little upset because his some of his ads have been pulled from display. Is that so shocking Noel, that some people have morals? And really, you pompous ass, to compare your ads to ones promoting alcohol and male erectile dysfunction?

Anyway, I suppose he has the right to promote his immoral business and we should let him because it’s a free world and people are going to do it anyway. But where will it end? What if someone decides to have ads promoting sex with minors. Sure it’s illegal now, but so was adultery, and who knows what the future holds for us. Perhaps it’s just around the corner when this vile act will be accepted as long as the child is consenting. Perhaps it will be one of Noel’s descendants that will be running those ads.

A Blogger’s Opinion Is Highly Valued

This is very true, if it wasn’t so why are advertisers, unless you have a Blogger blog, willing to outlay so much money to have bloggers review their sites, products or services. It’s because they know that a lot of people listen to what many bloggers have to say.

They listen because bloggers are people, just like themselves, who have acquired a certain amount of knowledge through life and online experiences. This being the case I would like to ask you, my valued readers and supporters for your opinion as to why my site Cool Blog Links has only got 14 members since it’s conception over a year ago.

I know that I haven’t been promoting it at all, but seeing as how it gets a fair few hits from the various search engines I would have thought that some of those may have been persuaded to join. You would think that if you did a search for cool blog etc. and the link turns up on the first page that perhaps that alone would be incentive enough to join?

Cool Blog Links is a site for bloggers to list their blogs. It has many categories from Affiliate to SEO. If your category is not listed it can easily be added. All that’s required is that members paste a code on their blog which would display this image The top ten blogs have their ranking displayed on the trophy cup. The code is necessary because it allows the site to keep track of page views etc and also allows people to vote for their blog.

Anyway, for those interested, if you could maybe have a look at it and give me your honest opinion as to why you wouldn’t make use of this free service, one which provides another backlink to your blog from a PR2 site?

Google Finishes Off 2009 By Waving The PR Wand

It’s now 2010 in Aussieland and I’ve awaken to the new year to discover that the almighty Google has waved his magic wand once again and in all it’s misplaced wisdom he’s decided to downgrade some of my blogs, including this one.

WassupBlog is no longer a PR4! Nope it’s now a PR3 which makes no sense because since the last update Wassup’s popularity has increased by a sizable margin, so even though I wasn’t expecting to go up, nor did I expect to go down.

But, you know what? I don’t give a rat’s arse what PR Google decides to place on any of my blogs, because as far as I’m concerned PR is pretty well useless other than a measuring stick that is used to wave in front of advertisers to command a higher price.

Which reminds me, I’m gonna have to change my Advertise Here page. Hey guys, where are you all running off to? PR3 is still pretty good. Oh come on. :laugh_tb:

There is also another reason why I stopped caring about PR long ago, and that’s because I found it always placed pressure on me to improve my rankings. Once I worked out that pressure was cramping my blogging style I stopped worrying about PR and I’ve never looked back since. I started enjoying blogging again, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s what counts.

So, how did you guys all fare…..up, down or stayed as you were?
