Before posting it I checked it with Grammarly and I was surprised at the number of errors I found. And so, without further ado, I give you, Why I No Longer Link To The Likes Of ProBlogger And John Chow

WassupBlog Now Hosted On A VPS Host

You certainly don’t have to be Tom Cruise to have a need for speed! Nope, because even a blogger, who wants to supply his readers with the ultimate experience, requires speed! Sure, we all know that content is king, but, people may not hang around long enough to see how good your content is if your blog takes too long to load. That’s bad and what’s worse is that if your blog is all about making money, then having a slow blog may be costing you sales.

Mobile Speed Is Important

I did a post last week on The Need For Smartphone Speed. Over the weekend, I used the points in that post to increase the mobile speed of three more of my blogs. Those blogs were my Buy Online Lotto TicketsGet Online Lottery and A Loving Memorial. While it was easier, as I had a template to follow, I found that different sites have different hurdles to jump. I persevered all the same because mobile speed is important!

Why Mobile Speed Is Important

As I mentioned in my previous post, my latest need for mobile speed was brought on by my good mate Mitch’s post. You’ll find links to his exceptional posts about his search for improving mobile speed in my previous post. Mobile speed is essential to me because I need to keep Google happy to get a good listing in their search engines.

Taking The Time To Increase Your Blog’s Speed

Are you taking the time to Increase your blog’s speed? I spent most of yesterday working on the insides of this blog. You could almost call it Spring cleaning, being Spring and all. The reason behind it all was that I wanted to speed this baby up a little as it was starting to drag its sorry little ass and we can’t have that now can we?

I’ve read around the traps that the loading speed of any given website is critical because search engines such as Google will penalize slow-moving sites. Truth be told though there is something so much more important than the search engines and that’s your visitors. If your site takes too long to load you’re going to piss your visitors off and they’re going to leave without ever seeing what it is you have to offer. So anyway, here’s what I did to improve the loading speed of this blog.

How To Optimize Your WordPress Blog

How to optimize your WordPress blog? I promised you in the last post that I would tell you how to optimise your blog so that you can increase its speed and at the same time keep Google happy. Before optimising this blog and moving it to a VPS host for WordPress, it used to take over 12 seconds for the page to load fully. Now it takes around 3 seconds. You have to admit that is a pretty big difference. This post will be the first of a series of posts that will explain how it did it. The first step was to resolve the issues supplied by Google’s Page Speed Insight. The initial scan of this blog showed that as far as Google was concerned, I had some high priority issues to resolve.

Speeding Up Your Blog To Keep Your Readers Happy

Why Speeding Up Your Blog To Keep Your Readers Happy

I’ve heard said that Google is now including the time it takes a page to load as part of its algorithm when calculating a site’s PR. Too bad I don’t give a crap about what PR Google gives me, but I am concerned about those who come to read my blogs. Which is why speeding up your blog to keep your readers happy is important. That being the case, I am always wary of the number of plugins I instal as too many tend to slow your site down. So, before adding any new ones I first have to decide which one gets the boot.

I also make sure that any images I include in headers and stuff are always optimized to save on loading time. I use several plugins to increase the speed of this blog. They include.
