Blog Stats For August Up For Display

As another month goes by it’s time to post the stats for the previous month. I must admit that for the first week or two Adsense wasn’t producing anything at all for the first week or two, but fortunately it kicked in later on in the month. As you can see it’s down from last month but, at least it managed to get over the $20 mark.

Overall my earnings was down, but that’s not at all surprising as I didn’t expect to earn another $100 from Commission Junction. Unfortunately those commission rates are few and far between.

Paid posts are also down, but I’ve decided to wind down the amount of paid posts I take on as I just don’t have the time to pump out as much as I would like to.

  • Adsense: $22.64
  • Voxsant: $0.21
  • Kontera: $0.16
  • Clix Galore: $0.35
  • Chitika: $1.48
  • Infolinks: $1.67
  • Advertisers: $10
  • Commission Junction: $0.00
  • E-Junkie: $72.15
  • Jumbo Affiliates: $11.37
  • RegNow $0.00
  • Paid Posts $62.50

TOTAL: $182.53

Overall I am satisfied with the results, especially as I haven’t gone out of my way to increase the blogging for money potential of my blogs.

  1. That is pretty good monthly income report that you had this month. Keep on working at it. I know I have to work at it more. Greg Ellison

  2. Well, over $150 for not doing much is awesome. Imagine if you worked harder, it will be way over the $250 mark. My income was around $150, I hope to extend it to the $300-$500 mark soon.

My adsense earning last month only 38$, maxbounty 0$. Need to put more effort on this…

    1. $38 for Adsense sounds pretty good to me Syam. Just remember not to put all your eggs into one basket as it could be financially hazardous.

  5. Very inspiring to this newbie, Sire!

    1. Aw shucks, twernt nothin’ :wink_ee:

  6. Still maintaining around that $200 mark. Got to get in gear. I want to see us both going higher and higher in income. Give me a reason to work harder besides my own desires. :)
.-= Deneil Merritt´s last blog ..Setpember 2009 Discount Coupon =-.

    1. We’ll get there Deneil, and I’ve always found it’s best not to rush things.

  7. To be honest is a pretty good fee for august. This is mostly the vacaion month, so hopefuly starting from this month things will begin to grow up a little. You need to work a bit and step by step you will see the sums will add :)

    1. Now that all depends whether people go away on vacation leaving their laptops at home, but we can only hope.

  8. You’re on my “heroes” list when it comes to blog income, good job there :)

I also noticed that you’re not making a lot for Infolinks, maybe it’s not worth having it on the blog if it doesn’t make more than a buck a month? I mean, the links *can* be confusing for the readers (specially new ones). I’m going to give Infolinks probably another month or two on my site to show it’s potential.

    1. I reckon I’ll wait until I get minimum payout Klaus before I pull out. It seems a shame to leave any money in an account. Anyway, every little bit counts.

  9. That is not bad at all. You have earned pretty well from e-junky. I am monetizing my blog this month. I need to learn few things before giving it a try. If possible share your traffic stats as well…..

    1. Yeah, traffic stats, that’s something that I find extremely boring, but perhaps when I have more free time on my hand I will include traffic stats with the next update.

      1. I consider it as a handsome amount and traffic is also good but where are your new posts? I am missing it, don’t make me wait too long :smile to read your new post otherwise I will runaway.lol

  10. Twitter:
I was looking to see if you’d ever written about E-Junkie before, because I’ve never heard of them. Not bad income from them for the month. You whipped me; my list comes out Friday, I believe.

  11. There were a few on your list that I wasn’t aware of. I find it refreshing to see others posting their earnings so we all can benefit from smart choices. Having several different online businesses can be demanding. You just have to keep up on your earnings, and focus on the major changes quickly. Remember, you get what you inspect, not what you expect. Thanks for the tips Sire!
.-= Mark Smith´s last blog ..Making Money Online Promoting Affiliate Products in Your Blog Posts =-.

    1. No worries Mark. I’ve found helping other to be most satisfying. I don’t actually have any online businesses as such. I do have one in the real world, but as far as online goes it’s all for fun.

  12. Wow, that’s amazing. I hadn’t known you could make that amount on a blog before. That is really good. Well done on all your hard work. It’s always interesting to hear first hand experiences about these type of services. I had adwords on my blog when I started, as I just wanted to test it to see whether I can making something little to start off with. I found out that it didn’t pay off, as I wasn’t enthusiastically on the roll with it, especially through the journey of my blog. My adwords account was disabled end of August. That reminded me, that I still had it active but, wasn’t interested in incorporating it within my blog. Everything is always worthy of a go, whatever it is, and am grateful for that experience.

I continue to wish you the very best in whatever you do, as you are doing an excellent job here, and on all your blogs. :)
    .-= Ana´s last blog ..A colourful past =-.

    1. Ana, this is a pittance compared to one some bloggers make, but then I’m not sure they are having as much fun as I am. But yes, seeing that money can be made is definitely an incentive to keep going.

  13. With as big as your blog is Sire I really am shocked, again keep in mind I don’t use any of the affiliate programs and stuff that are out there, but I assumed you made probably 50x that monthly with this blog alone.

Are my views on making money online a little skewed?

    1. I wish that I was making 50x what I posted John, but unlike some bloggers that possibly inflate their income I prefer to post my actual earnings.

Are your views on making money online skewed? I don’t think so as some bloggers do quite well at it. Me, I have a long way to go.

  14. Wow, E Junkie commiseration is pretty high. Great figures.

  15. Great earnings dude.. Hope you will ad a ZERO at the end to that 182 very soon…

  16. Yep, E-Junkie has been a good performer on more than one occasion.

  17. Your income appears to be going strong. But I think you must concentrate more on killer blog posts also, else you will have to work hard for getting traffic each and every time.

  19. Thats a good report Sire. If I may ask, what’s ejunkie? I never heard of it (well I’m pretty new to blogging, 4 months)

    Michael
.-= MichaelR@VoIP and Tech Blog´s last blog ..All About the V Thing =-.

    1. ejunkie is like CJ, they act as a medium between us and advertisers allowing us to sell their products. To date I have only been promoting one particular product.

  20. Not bad! How much traffic do you receive to earn this much?
.-= Ste@free Playstation 3´s last blog ..Stickybuds set at Shambhala Festival 2009 (MP3 download) =-.

    1. Considering it involves all my sites and not just this blog, supplying you with those would take more time than I can afford

  21. Respect! I admire anyone who makes more than 100$ a month with a blog. I plan to start one in some time, but I just don’t know where to start.

    1. Thanks Andrew, and truthfully, starting a blog is not all that hard. If I can do it, I reckon anybody can.
