Honestly, any parent who will be doing this will definitely get jailed for child abuse. Lol! Seriously though, I believe tough love is much more effective for parenting than spanking. Hurting a child physically will only give them that understanding that it's okay to hurt someone as long as you think they did something wrong. Kids nowadays are smarter than we think and would likely get the wrong message we're trying to teach them. Tough love on the other hand, will teach your child the importance of working hard for something they would want to achieve. Punishing through deprivation of material things or grounding will make them realize that it's best to follow the rules and do good to be able to get what they want and learn to be responsible over any decisions they make.
