Hey guys, it’s Christmas Eve and even though I’ve noticed that it’s been really quiet of late I thought that I would post a Christmas poem. I’ve written a fair few poems in my day but only one that had a Christmas theme. That poem, A Bloggers Christmas Wish, Love And Peace To All, has received a lot of traffic leading up to Christmas and I thought it would be a great idea to write another one. It’s probably not my best work but then I’ve left it a little late and being in the retail industry I have to leave for work soon, yes, even on Christmas Eve. 
This one is a little different from the last one but it still has a message that I would like my readers to consider. I hope you enjoy it. Most importantly, I want to wish everyone and their families a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
The Day Before Christmas
It’s Christmas Eve, the day’s still young
Must check the list to see if all is done
The Christmas tree is up and all adorned
The presents placed and the children warned
Not to touch the presents until Christmas day
Stop bugging mum and go out to play
Must prepare the food for guests to eat
The Christmas table must look a treat
There’s lots of food, surely more than enough
Although the economy’s made the year real tough
Still, must thank the Lord for He did provide
Without his help I would have surely cried
Must not forget the poor who will go without
Unless I dig real deep for there is no doubt
The Lord wants is to help those in need
Let us not hold back lest we turn to greed
For on Christmas Day a Child was truly born
A gift from God so all who believe are reborn
Let’s not forget the lessons He taught
Otherwise, all He did for us will come to naught

Makes me recall some countrymen who’ve been hit by the recent Bopha tropical storm. A lot of help coming from all over the world is easing their pain somewhat. I hope they’ll still feel Christmas today.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
For loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
Like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf,
The good you do for others is good you do yourself. :)

It is a wonderful poem and I must say the message is conveyed loud and clear.
