The Meaning Of Life In A Poem

A blog for me is more than just a means to make money, it is also a way of expressing myself. One of the ways that I may choose to do this is through poetry. Don’t get me wrong as I am not a poet in any manner of shape and form, but I do like to dabble in it every now and again. I call this one..

The Awakening

As I lie on the ground
Gazing at the myriad of stars
Thinking how insignificant I am
What am I, but a mote in the universe?

I leave no mark on this world
Like the ripples of a pebble
Falling in a calm lake
I am born, and then I die
Leaving not a trace

From dust to dust
The finality of life
Would be eternal
Were it not for the memories
Memories of loved ones left behind

Awakening, as realization dawns
Mine is not what I do for myself
But what I can do for others
The Lord is my Shepard
I shall not want
His Word more than food
Filling the void within me

As I lie on the ground
Gazing at the myriad of stars
I wonder at the Glory of God
Who counts me among His children
My life, a void fulfilled
When I am a beacon
That shows others the way

Hosting An Effective Blog Contest

I’ve seen a lot of blogs that host contests of one manner or another and usually the main motive for doing so is to gain readership. Sounds like a good idea but I figured there must be more involved than doing a post about it and getting good results. I was lucky enough to come across Prizetastic’s How To Host An Effective Competition as it contained certain information that had never crossed my mind.

I mean have you ever thought about the legalities of the competition you are holding? I know the legal aspect of a competion would never have crossed my mind. Honestly the six steps posted by this Aussie blogger, yep us Aussies are a clever lot, could really prove to be quite useful to anyone planning on hosting their own competition.

So, What Exactly Is Your Blog Worth?

My mate Mitch from I’m Just Sharing did a post on a site that would give a value for your blog. All you need do is supply you blog’s domain and it would come up with a dollar value as well as other interesting stats.

My site is worth $10417.1.
How much is yours worth?

Not too shabby for a blog that is still in its birthing pangs. So, who is interested in buying? I would suggest getting in early as it’s only going to go higher once people realize how talented the blogger is. :smile2_ee:

I was playing around with my digital point and shoot camera, the Panasonic DMC-FX50, trying to capture an image of the effects of a drop as it enters a glass of water. Not an easy task I can tell you because of the time lag that occurs in most point and shoot cameras. I lost count of the amount of photos I took and it wasn’t until I loaded them onto the computer that I found this very unique photo.

Apparition In Splash

Look closely and tell me if you can see an image of a human face at the top of the splash caused by the drop. I reckon it is the likeness of a male wearing a helmet of sorts, but my daughter swears it’s more of a Marian apparition and that what I think is a helmet is more of a veil similar to what was worn by the women in the times of Jesus. What do you think?

I have a closeup as well as some of the other drops on my Photos2Blog. It sort of reminds me of the Cyborg in The Terminator Series as if it was morphing right out of the water.

Share Your Biggest Challenge With Derek Gehl

I reckon that there aren’t too many people out there who haven’t heard of Derek Gehl. This is the man who is recognized as being one of the top Internet marketers on the planet. He knows when he has a good product and he knows how to market it. It seems that Derek is on a mission to get people to come by his

blog and tell me what their #1 barrier to making money on the Internet is. In exchange, I’ve offered to help them overcome it, with a TON of FREE training.

He actually sent me an email so that I can notify all my friends of his offer, but I thought I would take it one step further and post it on some of my blogs, as this would give the message maximum exposure. I have adapted parts of the message, in red,  so that I could post it on the blog.

Hi You Lucky Gun You,

The other day, I sent you an email offering you FREE help
overcoming your #1 barrier to making money online. (Oops Sorry, the idea of posting it only just came to me)

To get it, all you need to do is visit Internet marketing
guru Derek Gehl’s live survey, and share your BIGGEST challenge.

Since I sent that last email, Derek’s been FLOODED with 1,000s
of submissions! Was yours one of them? (Damn, I knew I should have posted this earlier)

If not, why not?!

This is your opportunity to have Derek help you overcome your #1
success-killing obstacle for free! He’s going to review all the
submissions, and then provide a TON of FREE training and help to
as many people as *possible*.

Heck, he’s even going to bribe you with a free gift to get you
to participate!

So if you haven’t responded yet, you’re either…

*Already* massively successful and don’t NEED any help.
(If so, well done, and keep up the good work!)

Or you’re afraid to face your challenge head-on, and will
continue to struggle with poor results.

*Whatever* the reason, if you still want Derek to help you
succeed — for FREE — just go to his survey, at:

http://blog.internetmarketing.com/tellderek/872529

When you get there, spend a few minutes reading the other
submissions.

I bet you’ll be shocked to see how many OTHER people are facing
the SAME challenges you are! You’re not alone…

All the best,

Peter

P.S. Last I heard, Derek was thinking about shutting down the
live survey in the next couple of hours, due to the overwhelming
number of submissions he’s getting. So if you want his help,
you need to submit your #1 barrier to success right away:

Well, that’s it. The rest is up to you.
